I smiled watching her slam the bathroom door. Her feisty attitude is always a turn on, I'm tempted to follow in after her just to see what she'd do. My son was going to be a hand full if he's anything like his mother.

"Hey! I was just coming to see you. Mind if we step into my office for a minute?" I turned my head to see Thazar walking my way. Honestly I was already tired of him and we've barely been here a few hours. I was still trying to come to terms with a grown man dying his hair bug guts blue.

"I'm waiting for Valentina." That was meant to be a dismissal, but it's clear he didn't take the hint.

"This is important." He wrung his hands, looking around nervously.

I heaved a loud sigh, letting him know how much of a inconvenience he was being. "Lead the way."

"What?" I demanded after sitting here in silence. I'll be damned if he dragged me from that door to have a silence contest.

"It's Tigan." He blurted.

"What about him? Actually while we're on the subject, what is he doing here?" I crossed my arms, watching him, studying him. If inviting him was intentional to throw me off guard I'll kill him in this office. I don't like surprises, especially when it puts my girl and child in harms way.

"I didn't know he was coming, he showed up minutes before they announced your arrival. Almost like he knew."

I sat up straighter, this information wasn't sitting well with me. "Knew what? Knew I was coming?" I wanted him to confirm what I thought.

He nodded solemnly. "No one in my jurisdiction told him. It was an outside source I assure you. We would never betray your trust." I knew he wasn't lying, he was too much of a pussy to cross me.

"We'll be leaving tonight, thanks for accommodating us for the time being."

He stood from the chair he was sitting in. "I'm sorry you have to leave in such a hurry, it is always an honor to house the king. You're welcome here anytime." We shook hands and parted, time to collect Valentina.

Walking back to the bathroom I could feel something was off, a shift in the magic here. I sped up, knocking on the door repeatedly. "Valentina! It's time to go. Wipe your ass and come out." I waited for one of her smart ass response. When I didn't get one I twisted the knob, cursing when I found the bathroom empty. "Damn angel can't stay in one place."

Making my way back to our bedroom I noticed the door ajar. Pushing it open I frowned at the scene before me. "Lilith? Tigan? What the fuck are you two doing in my room?" They stood staring at me, like deer caught in headlights. "Cat got your tongue?" Then I realized something was missing, or rather someone. My eyes narrowed on them, fully taking in the scene. Tigan was in nothing but his boxers, and Lilith stood in skimpy bra and panties. "I'm going to ask one more time, what the fuck are you doing here?"

Tigan had a smug look on his face, while she looked scared. "I didn't know who she was." She stammered out.

I took a threatening step forward. "Who?" I growled.

"The girl that's -" I watched as Tigan back handed her, making her fall to the floor.

"Do you know how to shut the fuck up?" He snarled.

My body stiffened at her words. "Tigan, if you've done something to her. Know you're not walking out of here alive."

He grin wickedly."You're too late, she's probably dead by now."

I felt my bones starting to crack, the Beast trying to break free. A red haze covered my vision. I could feel my wings straining against my back, a snarl leaving me. "Hard way or easy way?" The Beast wasn't fully in control, but he was at the surface. I couldn't lose control for Valentinas sake.

He laughed, "Kill me and you'll never find her."

I smiled, making sure to show him my fangs. "Wanna bet?" Without moving I watched as his eyes started to bleed. "You must've forgotten I own you. One thought and you're dead, then I'll eat your brain to get the information I want." Materializing a dagger in my hand, I leaned against the wall. "But sadly for you your death won't be that easy, you fucked with my girl." Without warning I flung the dagger, it ripped through the air embedding into his eye. "So now you're going to die slowly and painfully."
