Chapter 20 

Adriane knew what he was thinking, so she said reluctantly, “But I don’t know how to ride a horse at all. I’m afraid I can’t do well.” 

Before Zack could say something, all his friends left aside their female companions and yelled, “I’m best at teaching! How about taking you for a few laps 

first?” 

“Although my horse can’t compare with Isabella, it’s also a valuable breed airlifted from Australia. It’s very docile!” 

A group of men gathered around Adriane, and their female companions were very angry. 

They thought that this girl was so good at scheming. Instead of learning how to ride a horse, she just wanted to seduce the guys. 

But that was reasonable in some ways. After all, Arthur was disabled. He might not be able to “satisfy” her, which made her feel lonely.

After standing on the race track, everyone found that though the morning sky was sunny, the clouds were now dense. It seemed that it could rain at any 

time. 

In such weather, the horse was also very anxious and needed to be comforted. 

After changing into long sleeves and trousers, with her hair tied up and wearing protective gear, Adriane looked valiant and heroic, making everyone unable to take their eyes off her. 

Several people were discussing the possibility of taking her away from Arthur. 

The horse race track was supposed to be empty. However, seeing from afar, there was a group of people riding. Zack pointed in that direction and asked the manager “Who are they?” 

The manager replied, “They are Mr. Quinlan’s men.” 

Zack fell into silence. That was Francis Quinlan from the Quinlan family. 

He had a very capable sister, and he did not need to interfere in the family business at all. Compared with Zack, he was a real heir of a rich family. 

When Adriane heard the name of Francis, she thought of the few contacts she had with this man in her previous life. He always had different beauties

Adriane smiled innocently as if she did not know that he was up to something bad. 

Two horses walked side by side. Zack pretended to tell her the key point of riding a horse, and Adriane seemed to listen quite carefully. 

When his teaching was almost finished, the man’s eyes flashed with coldness. He rode towards her, trying to frighten her. 

Unexpectedly, she pulled the rein to the right and dodged. 

Besides, she also smiled and said, “Zack, is it fun?” 

Zack thought she was lucky, so he pretended to be confused, “What do you mean? My horse was disobedient just now.” 

Adriane would never believe him. She held the whip and gently hit it on her left hand. Accompanied by the rain falling from the sky, she smiled more brightly than before. 

“If it’s fun, it’s my turn.” As soon as she finished speaking, she galloped over! 

Zack was startled. He was afraid that this crazy woman would bump into him. He shouted, “What are you doing? Stop!” He turned his horse around and ran forward. 

However, Adriane followed him tightly. No matter if he was fast or slow, she was chasing after him as if she was a devil who would swallow him in the 

next moment. 

“Zack, what do you think I’m doing? I’m testing your teaching results!” 

Zack wanted to get rid of her, but no matter what he did, she was like sticky candy, sticking to him! 

The increasingly heavy rain made him unable to see clearly, and evil like Adriane put a lot of psychological pressure on him. 

He knew that many people were watching them. It was so humiliating to be chased so closely by a beginner.

Adriane ignored him. 

She did know how to ride a horse. In her previous life, to be able to stand by the side of Alexander fair and square, she had made unimaginable efforts. 

She had learned three foreign languages and other skills. There was a time that Alexander talked business with someone on the racecourse and he needed her to accompany him.

To show her skillfulness, she suffered a lot of injuries when she practiced horsemanship. 

Seeing her heroic look on the back of the horse, Alexander hypocritically praised her for her talent. He did not know that there was a time that she 

almost broke her bones when she fell off the horse. 

She was such a stupid woman. She thought it was worthwhile to do anything for him. 

Now though she no longer loved Alexander, she was grateful to herself for making constant efforts in her previous life. 

His last psychological line collapsed. With deep fear, he fell off the horse by accident. 

The moment he felt the pain, he looked up and saw Adriane ride away. It not only took away his pride, but also his dignity.
