Chapter 3 Encounter

The transport flew through the wall past many small cities, then flew above a destroyed city. In the distance was a large crimson castle its towers scraping into the sky. I activated my laser blade so did everyone else, my jet pack was also on.

“On my command!” Kyris barked, as we saw large figures flying towards us. The dragons were getting closer and closer when Kyris shouted. “Attack!” Everyone flew out of the transport and towards the dragons their blades drawn. The dragon roared with fury as we flew towards them. I lunged myself towards a large red dragon, slashing it in the face, blood erupted from its face, as it roared in fury then prepared to chomp down on me. I flew underneath it and slashed at its underside, blood erupted from the underbelly, falling downwards towards the ground like a waterfall. The dragons body started to fall downwards, I flew back above and saw as the dragon went crashing to the ground below. In the distance I saw the soldiers fighting the dragons, one dragon slashed at a woman, I saw the claws tear through her body and blood exploded everywhere. The woman’s still mangled body fell to the ground next to the dead dragon.

Bryce was slashing at a large green dragon, who was trying to scorch him alive. In the distance I saw Commander Kyris shooting at three large dragons. More soldiers fell towards the ground, blood cascading downward soaking the ground red. Little by little dragons crashed down to the ground dead. The scene before me was a massacre soldiers were being torn, ripped, and scorched from the sky. Bryce was flying towards me when a purple medium sized dragon flew towards him talons preparing to strike. Without warning I slashed upwards at the dragon it roared in fury then knocked Bryce out of the sky sending him flying downwards, he crashed into the ground. I flew down towards him as the dragon stood above him, its teeth bared. Bryce looked up at the dragon with fear as its talon was clutched onto his shoulder, making him unable to move. The dragon was about to slash down at him when without thinking I shouted.

“HEY YOU BASTARD COME AND FIGHT ME!” The dragon looked at me with rage, the dragon had one of its eyes shut and a scar covered its eye. I realized that this was the dragon that my ripped my fathers arm off. It ran after me I saw as Commander Kyris helped Bryce up and flew back up to the transport. I pulled out my laser sword and held it in my hand ready to strike. The dragon lunged towards me, I prepared to slash upwards at it when it slashed the blade out of my hands and into the ground. It then pinned me to the ground, its large teeth gleaming in the sun, its talons holding me down. For the first time in my life I was afraid as the dragon loomed above me.

“So I was going to die. Die a hero.” I thought, as the dragon prepared to roast me alive. I saw above me in the distance the transport flying away, Bryce was staring down at me as Kyris forced him back onto the transport shouting.

“NO! WE CAN’T LEAVE HER! NO! KELYA!!!” The transport zoomed out of the battlefield, I looked up at the sky and smiled then started to cry.

“At least you will be safe.” "Kill me Kill me you bastard!” I shouted up at the dragon. “How does it feel to injure innocent lives!” I closed my eyes prepared to die, then I felt hot breath on my face. I looked up and saw the dragon had let go of me but still was towering above me. He roared and slowly the roars created a voice. “YOUR ONE TO TALK YOU SLAUGHTER OUR PEOPLE!” I stared up at the dragon with confusion then shock.

“You can speak. Why haven’t you killed me.” I replied shocked, my laser blade activated.

“OF COURSE I CAN. Because enough blood has been split-” The dragon paused then glared down at me and said. “Wait you can hear me?”

“Yes.” I replied.

“That can’t be, to even fathom that filthy humans can understand us.” He said still glaring down at me.

"Why do you slaughter our people, or filthy humans as you call us!” I shouted preparing to strike. His laugh shook the earth then he roared.

“Your one to talk! You started this war and still are continuing it!”

“What do you mean?” I asked.

“What I mean is the tale you heard is a lie.” He replied, I stared at him with shock deactivating my blade.
