Fear of the unknown...

That is what I am feeling right now. My kid sister will be all grown up now, my mom, I miss her so much, so damn much. Would they believe me if I tell them that I just got back, will they love me like they used to, will my mom hug me and welcome me back home. And my father, how do I look him in the eye and lie to him, what will I do if he turns out to be a mole, will be able to turn him in, will I be able to watch him get taken away by Dominic's men, will I let him get locked up, will I be strong enough to face all these things?

“You can stay in the car if you want to but I'l strongly advise against it, we don't want him to think that you have changed, we don't want him to suspect that there is something wrong with you. I need you to snap out of this reverie and bring your A-game. We don't know what he is capable of, we still don't know if he is the mole we are searching for. Trust me, if your father is a mole, he wouldn't think twice about turning you in, he would sell you off without blinking an eye, so you have to make sure you are ready to face the consequences if he turns out to be a mole. I'm so scared to walk into that building, I don't know what I'm going to discover and it scares me. But I'm not backing down, not when I've come this far. He had done a skin surgery on me, I don't know how he did it, I don’t even know how he mixed the concoction but it had worked, it actually worked and I was so shocked, but then again, nothing surprises anymore, nothing at all. I guess he is also a surgeon, the surgical procedure on me is so perfect. He added something to it, something that affects our eyesight, making it impossible for anyone to see the mark on my neck. I wore an off-shoulder top that shows off my flawless skin, exposing my neck for the first time since I got marked by Dominic.

“Let us go in Dom, I can handle anything, I promise.” I told him calmly, smiling warmly, although I know that my smile is not genuine because I'm not happy at all. Deep down in my heart, I know that nothing is going to dispel these fears within me, I just to face my fears and get them over with. He looked at me skeptically for a few seconds, then he nodded softly before turning to face the road, driving into the Alphas lodge. I looked around in awe as I saw how beautiful it was. It was a huge, “majestic building that is even bigger than Dominic's Castle. Damn, it is so beautiful. I'm a stripper and I spent many years in the city but I've never seen a building that is this beautiful and majestic. It must have taken him many years to build such a “majestic mansion, I wondered why he decided to give this mansion to the Alphas, it is more beautiful than his Castle. We all stepped out of the cars, walking towards the entrance of the building. “From here on out, you don’t know anyone of us Beth. You are only acquainted with Carl but you have to make it look like you disagree with Carl for siding with me. Don't forget your cover story, you are a student and you work to pay your bills, okay!" He asked me once more, making me roll my eyes at him for overemphasizing the same point over and over again. We've gone over my lines for almost a hundred times, but he wouldn't stop reminding me about it and it's making me feel even more nervous.

“I know my lines Dom and I'm ready to do this. Let's just get it over with.” I responded to him. He pulled me into his arms any captured my lips in a passionate kiss, causing Carl and Harriet to tease us.

“Wait, Dom how about the cameras. If the moles see you kissing her on camera, it could put her in trouble” Carl called out t Dominic, making me break our kiss immediately as my eyes looked up immediately. I saw the camera and my heartbeat skyrocketed because I wouldn't want my family to see me kissing him, it would break their heat completely and I won't be able to face them like that, I won't even go in.

“Relax, I have it covered. You don't think I would be this careless, do you? Tyler is in my office handling it already. I ordered him to hack into the building's security system and keep an eye on everything that is happening in here, he has control of this building's security cameras, it can't be hacked and nobody will see anything except I want them to see it. So relax and let me enjoy this moment.” He said huskily as he pushed me against the wall, kissing me even more passionately.

“Be careful in there Beth, trust no one, I mean, no one."

“You mean my father?" I asked him with a smirk.

“Especially your father” He emphasized, making me chuckle softly.

“Fine, you made your point. I promise to be careful, now shut up and lead the way." I told him teasingly, making him smirk. “This pretty mouth of yours needs some taming. I'll put it to good use when we get back home. Trust me, I have many ways... he whispered in my ears, making my breath hitch in my throat as I stifled a moan. Damn, I can't wait. I can feel my body heating up for him, I can never get enough of this guy. I can't believe that I am thinking about s*x when I should be thinking about my family. Gosh, I'm so stupid, I'm completely smitten by this guy. He could see the effect of his words on me, he smiled smugly and winked at me before turning to push the door open. As soon as he turned his back on me, his aura changed immediately as he walked majestically into the building, looking like the ruthless king that scares the s**t out of everyone. He went in first, with Harriet following closely behind him. Carl walked in and I followed behind him, walking slowly as my feet suddenly got heavy.

“Daddy!” I heard Harriet's voice as she ran into her father's arms, hugging him so tightly. The man looks so surprised at her reaction, I guess he doesn't know that his life is in danger. He didn’t bother asking her any questions, he simply hugged her back and pulled her aside, taking her to a table by the corner. It was at that very moment that we heard the sound of plates shattering and when we turned in the direction of the sound, I saw my mom standing in front of a broken plate, looking at me in shock. My father and sister stood behind her as they all gazed at me in shock.

“Bethany, is that you?" my father let out softly, breaking our silence.

“Yes, Alpha. It's Bethany.” Carl responded for me when I couldn't get out any words.

“Bu... But how?” he asked in surprise, but I couldnt answer his question because my mom and my sister ran to me and engulfed me in a tight hug, as we all sobbed hysterically. From the corner of my eyes, I could see Dominic talking to a few of his guards, acting as if he doesn't care about the reunion. But I caught his eyes drifting to my side a few times and I could see the warmth playing in his eyes as he gazed at us. He tried to hide his emotions, but I could see it anyway I know he love: “me and I know that he truly cares. They pulled me aside and sat me on a chair that is similar to the one occupied by Harriet and her father. My mom wouldn't stop crying as she told me how she misses me. My sister is all grown up and she is growing into a beautiful young lady. I can't believe that I have missed out on five years of her life, I miss them all so much. We sat there talking and laughing like a bunch of teenagers, enjoying our reunion. Then I heard the sound of footsteps approaching and when I turned around, I found my father looking at me in a strange way,

“Where have you been for the past five years Bethany, and what have you been doing all these years, why didn't you search for your family?” he asked me sternly, his eyes fixed on me, watching me closely.
