Dominic's POV

I haven't heard from my boys since they got taken away by Lorenzo. It's been more than five hours already. Not one word from Graciela and not a word from my boys either. Its all her fault. If she hadn't sneaked off on her own, all this would have been avoided. I know she was just trying to save her mom, but she should have just let me handle it, she should go through with the plans. I know I should have helped her get back her mom, but I knew there was no way that could ever happen. Once that maniac gets his hands on an enemy, he never lets them go. He takes pleasure in killing innocent people, that is why I didn't bother searching so hard for her mom, I knew we wouldn't get to her on time. I did try to find her, but I didn't make ita priority, I knew the odds of finding her alive is next to none. I just wanted her to get Lorenzo to help her because I know that there is absolutely no way in hell that her mom would come back home alive. If Lorenzo had not shown up at the scene, I don't know if my boys would have been able to get her out safely. Lorenzo had succeeded so easily because he has layout of the surrounding, he had the element of surprise.

My boys would never have been able to get in because the whole warehouse was surrounded by mountain ash. There is absolutely no way they could have gotten past it. Lucas knew we were coming, he was so prepared to trap us in there and slaughter us, but he wasn't expecting Lorenzo, nobody was. They think he is dead, they believe they have gotten rid of him completely, but he is never defeated. He still operates under the radar, gathering information about them, and building up his Cartel once more. It would have been way better if he had just responded to her when she went looking for him, that way there would be no misunderstanding, and all this miss up would have never happened. He is just a paranoid bastard, he keeps to himself and follows his self-made strict rules that keep him from helping anyone or getting involved in issues that don't concern him. I wonder if Graciela would speak up for my boys, she would have seen them in their wolf form when they got shot with wolfsbane, she would be too scared to utter a word in their defense. She won't be able to handle the shock, it just too much for any human to handle, especially one who just lost her mom only a few hours ago. I need to get a message across to Lorenzo. I need to let him know that they weren't there to hurt anyone, he needs to know that they were only tryin: to protect his woman. If they weren't there with her, she would never have survived, he would never have met her alive.

I picked up my phone to dial his private number. He never gives anyone his phone number, let alone his private number. Lik said earlier, the guy is a paranoid bastard. Who would blame him, he had been hit harder than any one of us, not only did they steal his city and his business, they left him heartbroken as well. I can't blame him for taking them hostage, he is just trying to protect himself and his boys. I picked up my phone to call him, but I held back when I saw some messages that weren't supposed to be there, it was from King Ashford. I had totally forgotten about Bethany's secret phone. I had it cloned earlier so I can monitor her conversation with King Ashford and find out if she is having an affair with him. She had not had chance to talk to him all this while because we have been so busy trying to settle our differences. I can't believe that that bastard wants to hack my computers... Wait, actually, I can and I do believe that he wants to get into my computer. Now that think about it, I think I know why he wants to get into my computer. This goes a long way to prove that I had been right all along. The mole had seen my footprint in the woods around his secret cave, and he had spotted my hidden cameras, that is why he did not go in anymore. He must have reported back to king Ashford and now he wants to hack into my computer and find away to disable my cameras.

I know Ashford, I know that he would not go through all this stress simply to protect his mole from getting caught. He never treats werewolves with that much love, if he had his way, he would even kill them himself. He is still keeping them alive because he still needs them. I think he is trying to disable the cameras so he can get his weapons out of that cave. Those weapons and potions must be very important to him, they could be a part of the weapons he needs to win this war between us. He could be planning to use it to disable my defense from within, that could be his plan. He wants to cripple my defense then he would strike me when I'm at my weakest point. That devious, cunning bastard. I would burn down all those weapon: and I will torture his moles to death. He has no f****g idea what I'm planning, I would hit him when he least expects, and when I hit, I would hit him so hard that he would never be able to retaliate. I read all his instructions to Bethany and it hurts me so much to let her go through such demeaning tasks. He sounds so desperate, he must really need those weapons badly I wait for Bethany or Harriets to call, I had instructed them to let me know how it progresses, I don’t want the incident with the generals to repeat itself, I would hate to lose anyone else because of my carelessness, besides, I want to coordinate this mission and make sure it goes as planned.

I waited for some minutes, waiting for their update, but none was forthcoming. I checked the tracker on her phone, but it wasn't moving, I would have thought that she was still in her room, but I got mind-linked by one of the guards on patrol “guards on duty. He reported that she is heading to the woods. I went through the messages again and I saw the part where he asked her to retrieve some items from the woods. I wonder why she didn't tell me about it before running off to the woods, what if she gets hurt in the woods, what if it's a trap. I warned her not to put herself in danger, why won't she just listen to me, why the hell is she so stubborn. I called one of the guards to trail her and make sure she ii okay. While she was in the woods, I placed a call to Lorenzo, but as expected he didn't pick up my calls. I tried it a few more times, but he still wasn't picking. I decided to send him a message, but I know he is going to ignore it as well. He just won't respond to an unknown number.

“I have no issues with you, Lorenzo. My boys were just there to protect Graciela, she is a friend of mine and she is my responsibility as well. They only attacked your team because they thought you were going to hurt her. You can confirm from the lady, that she had been with us for almost two weeks, she never got hurt. Let them go, Lorenzo, they mean you no harm! Ityped and sent it but he did not respond. I tried calling my boys again, but it wasn't going through. Then an idea came to me, I know Graciela is with him right now, her phone may be close by, she could pick up my calls right now and I could talk t him with her phone. I called her number and it started ringing I kept praying within me that the phone should be with her. For all I know she could have lost it in the warehouse where she was held, or maybe she didn't even go out with it in the firs place. I was so excited when I heard her voice coming through the receiver,

“H... He... Hello king Dominic.” She responded in a shaky voice. I guess she is still shaken by all the things that happened to her.

“Why the hell have you not spoken to you man about my boys, where is he taking them to, you are supposed to speak on their behalf, you should have told him that they were there to protect you. Where the f**k are my boys?" I asked her angrily. She was about to respond to me when the phone got snatched from her palm, or so I guess. The next voice I heard wasn't hers, it was Lorenzo's.

“Speak,” he ordered firmly, making me more furious than I was initially. He had no right to speak to me with so much insolence. I had to stomach his rudeness because I need his help right now, besides he still has my boys in his custody.

“Let the go Lorenzo, we are not the enemies, we are on the same side. They simply followed her to protect her, they were nof there to hurt anyone. Let them go man, there are werewolves and not Lycans. The Lycans are the enemies, not us” I implorec him.

“Let me be the judge of that, king Dominic. I'll decide if they are a threat or not” That was all he said before hanging up, I even heard a tinge of mockery in his tone when he called .e king Dominic. He is taunting me and it's kicking pissing me off. I know he is not a crazy villain just like the other drug lords. I won't bother calling him anymore. He wouldn't dare to hurt my boys, if he does that, it would mean war between us and I know he doesn't want that. I place a call to my tech expert and I asked him to come down to the castle. I let him work from the office, I want him as far away from this Castle as possible, I don't want him to be targeted by the enemies. I'm also taking my doctor out of here pretty soon, I don’t want them to get hurt, the success of this war lies with them. I only called him over here because I need to play a trick on King Ashford, I need him to use Ashford's trick on him. He may think that he is hacking into my system, but I would be the one hacking into his system. After calling him, I mind-linked Bethany and asked her why she did not follow my instructions, she admitted to everything, hiding nothing from me. I told her I would meet her in our room, I needed to make some calls before meeting up with them. I checked on my company, making sure everything is going as it should. My secretary sent me some documents t approve and sign. After checking on my computer, I mind-linked Carl and Dwayne, telling them to meet me in my room.

I got to my room and overheard Harriet as she was convincing Bethany not to inform me can't everything that is going on. It’ obvious that she doesn't know that we are now mated, she doesn't know that Bethany has mind-linked me already. I was so surprised because this is so unlike Harriet, it doesn't sound like her. She is not like this, she sounds so desperate, so worried. I felt her nervousness from where I stood by the door, she is acting so suspicious, even Bethany noticed the change in her attitude. I couldn't help wondering if she is a mole, I keep thinking back to all the years she has been serving me, if she is a mole I would have seen some traces all these years. Why is she acting so strangely, what am I missing?
