Chapter 42 

Lucas thought about it. She still had the cheek to ask him why? She didn’t look for him when she was in a bad mood. Instead, she asked to see his brother! Did she want her legs to be broken? 

However, Lucas was really henpecked in front of Annabelle. Other than being sharp–tongued, there was nothing else he could do. In the end, he still obediently asked the driver to send him to the manor. Of course, he also followed! 

Reality proved that when one is in a bad mood, they would indeed feel better when they see the person they like. 

Lucas was very unhappy about this fact.

“Answer it!” Lucas thought for a moment and said. 

Those who weren’t close to him wouldn’t be able to call him. Those who could call him were naturally people who had a close relationship with him. 

When Annabelle heard him say this, she helped him answer the call and even very considerately raised the phone to her ear.

He first went to the study room to keep himself busy for a while. It was almost 4:30 p.m. before he packed up and prepared to leave. 

After Annabelle returned home, she played with his phone for a while and slept for half an hour. When she woke up, she put away her clothes, ironed them, and hung them up. Feeling hungry, she went to the kitchen to cook a bowl of ramen for herself. 

When she came out with the ramen, she saw Lucas dressed neatly. His facial features were exquisite, and his figure was excellent. Most importantly, his clothes were top–notch. Annabelle felt that the ramen in her hands was no longer fragrant!

“Are you having dinner already?” Lucas raised his eyebrows. How long had it been since lunch?

“No need!” Lucas said indifferently, “Go and feed the two children! I’m leaving!”

“I know!” Annabelle thought to herself, ‘He’s just going out for a meal, not planning to stay out for ten days to half a month. What could happen?‘ 

Lucas looked at a certain someone who had already buried her head in her food and felt his heart wrench up. He was so angry that he didn’t want to care about her anymore. She opened the door but nevertheless, held his anger in. “If there’s anything you want to eat, you can call me and tell me. I’ll bring it back for you!”
