Chapter No 29 Strength

Wanda ran towards the woods. She was mind linking Jacob when she heard boys screaming. She ran as fast as she could.

She ran to the direction where they were training Hazel. She hugged them, “What happened?” She asked while looking inside their eyes. They were looking ahead towards Hazel and she looked at the place where they were looking. She was stunned by the view. She walked slowly towards Clair (Hazel’s Wolf), who was also a bit scared. She touched her pure white fur and looked inside her beautiful purple eyes.

“It’s her,” she said slowly. “You really are a part of her,” she said under breath.

“Mate? Are you okay?” asked Flint, Jacob’s wolf through mind-link. He sounded so worried.

“Yeah, I am fine, Hazel is just shifted and boys were scared she is as different as her mother was ” she mind-linked him smiling.

“I told you,” said Jacob.

“How will I shift back?” Asked Clair through the mind-link.

“Just do the same as you did before, close your eyes and think,” said Wanda.

After a while she shifts back into her human form. She was naked, so she hides behind the tree.

“I will ask Carmen to bring some clothes” said Kai and he left with Ryan.

“You know Hazel you are exactly like your mother when she turned she was exactly like you but her wolf was gray” said Wanda.

Hazel smiled light. Wanda was turning to leave when she called her again.

“Do you have my mum’s photo? I want to see her” she asked.

“I have to find them. I will ask Mateo if he might have one,” she said and smiled. Hazel smiled in return. Wanda left.

“Here Hazel, boys asked me to give you clothes” Carmen has brought her clothes. She wore them and came out from behind the tree.

“So how was it?” Asked Carmen. “Easy?”

“Yeah it was fine but painful” said Hazel. “Boys were too easy on me so it was helpful” she said smiling.

“You have to join training with us, all youngsters from the pack go there to get training,” said Carmen.

“Who will teach us?” She asked.

“Eden” she said shortly. By the name two beautiful blue eyes came to her mind and her heart started racing.

“But he is our age fellow, how could he be our teacher?” She asked.

“Eden is older than all of us and he is well trained, he has been in training since he was five, he has natural talents too,” she said smiling.

“Why does he have to train at this much earlier age?” She asked.

“He is the upcoming Alpha of our pack” she explained.

“So the Alpha is like kings?” She asked. Carmen nodded.

“My Dad is Alpha too?” She asked and Carmen gave her a sigh.

“I don’t know, maybe” she said. They both left.

“So this is the training class?” She asked excitedly. Everyone was there in their training suites.

“Yeah we all do physical training here” Carmen said.

Kai and Ryan were arguing on something.

“What happened to them?” She asked.

“Nada, it’s usual, Ryan forcing Kai to do something that he does not want to do,” Carmen shrugged.

“Listen Ryan, third time I am telling you to ask your girlfriend to stay away from me” he said annoyed.

“Ex-girlfriend” Ryan corrected him.

“Whatever, Since she saw me when you were banging with her in the locker, she wanted me to bang with her and I told her I am not interested” Kai said, annoyed.

“Brother I can’t keep girls from you I am not your bodyguard” Ryan said annoyed.

“If you were my bodyguard, I’d find you banging with someone who has a motive to harm me,” said Kai. They were arguing when Eden walked towards the field. Hazel looked at him thoroughly. He was wearing training pants with black trunk shirt, his abs were clearly visible through the shirt. His broad shoulders were so perfect. His perfect blond hair was blowing on his forehead. She was staring at him, when suddenly he looked at her. She felt embarrassed.

“Okay, you guys have a pairing list and you know who you are paired with this week,” he said aloud. Hazel was drowning in his deep manly voice

“You give me Kylian this week?” Said Carmen annoyed.

“Hey what do you mean by ‘give me’?” He asked angrily.

“Nothing feeling lucky to have you as my partner this week, Oh moon goddess I was born for this,” Carmen said reducible. He rolled his eyes.

“Carmen, you have always complained even if I pair you with me you will complain,” said Eden Annoyed.

“Yeah brother, you should pair her with the damn social media,” said Kylian.

“And you should be with a book,” said Carmen angrily.

“How about Hazel?” Ryan asked concern.

She was standing there awkwardly.

“She will be paired with me,” Eden said expressionlessly. She felt her heart racing very fast.

“Oh no, I am going to pair with him but I don’t know what to do I am so doomed” she thought embarrassed.

“Carmen and Kylian, you both are first to show me what I taught you last week” he said while crossing his arms.

“Great, I happen to be first” said Carmen complaining.

“Why do you always whine?” Said Kylian annoyed.

They both were facing each other and now were in fight stance position. He has punched her over the face but she dodge. He tried again but failed again. Carmen ran at his back as fast as the blink of eyes he turned and she punched him over his face knocking him out. Everyone clapped. Hazel felt horrible and ran towards him.

“Hey, you okay? Kylian?” She screamed.

“He will be fine, he is a werewolf,” said Kai.

After a few minutes he got up. Hazel felt too embarrassed. Eden was staring at her poker face. She got up and stood beside Carmen embarrassedly.

“Ryan and Kai,” he said.

Ryan knocked Kai within a minute “Told you I am the best twin” he said proudly but Kai punched him in his stomach.

“Lesson first overconfidence is a defeat,” said Eden.

Kai gave Ryan a hand and he got up.

Everyone turned silent. Althea was staring at nothing when she felt the silence.

“Why are they all quiet?” she thought.

“It’s your turn,” Carmen whispered in her ear. She felt her heart pounding against her chest.

She walked slowly in the middle of the field. She could feel her legs trembling. He walked towards her confidently. She looked at his face and he was expressionless. She was feeling very nervous.

“Hazel, you have to do the same as we did,” said Kai.

“Same as he did? He must be kidding me; they have been training for years and him? He has been training since eternity,” she thought annoyed.

He stood in front of her in a fight stance; she remembered what to do as he punched her and dodged it. She punched him but he held her fist in his strong hand. She felt strange electricity in her body when he touched her hand. A burning sensation she never felt before. She pulled her hand in a rush, her cheeks were burning red. He looked in her eyes, narrowing his eyes. She was turning slightly pink.

“Buddy, is it what we think…..heat…” asked Daxton, his wolf.

“Don’t say it,” he said abruptly to his wolf in the middle.

“Why am I feeling like this?” Asked Clair.

“I don’t know,” she said.

In a blink he moved to her back and pulled her to the ground. She felt a sharp pain in her back.

“While fighting we don’t have enough time. We could be toast if we don’t pay proper attention,” he said while getting up, annoyed.

She felt very embarrassed but her emotion was covered by the pain she was feeling in her back. Kai ran ahead and helped her getting up.

“Hazel, are you okay?” He asked in a whisper.

“Yeah, I am fine” she said while trying to smile.

“Pay proper attention while I train you,” Eden said and turned to leave while she was staring at his broad back.

“Don’t take him seriously, he is always like that,” said Carmen.

“Look, your clothes are torn, I think this time we really need to go shopping,” said Carmen.

“But it’s fine” Hazel tried to say something when Carmen abruptly said: “I am going to talk to mum and tell her that we are going shopping this evening, ″ she said and ran towards the packed house.

Hazel was still feeling pain in her back. “That’s okay, your wolf will heal you in no time” said Kai.

“Kai, I need you in the kitchen” he received a mind-link from Wanda. He turned to leave.

“Where are you going?” she asked.

“Mum has called me” he said and left.

“But how did you know, I did not hear her calling?” She said while crossing her arms around her chest.

“It’s mind-link silly,” said Ryan.

“What?” She asked.

“Mind-link, talking through the mind like you and your wolf talks” he said smiling.

“But how?” She asked.

“Time to teach you this,” he said. He looked inside her eyes for a while.

“Seems like that easy to reach your mind,” she heard a voice inside her head. She has gone startled.

“Relax, it’s me now, you try,” he said. She tried multiple times but she failed.

“Hey don’t be frown, you can do this just practice,” he said smiling.

“So our parents were friends, did your dad tell you about my mum?” She asked while looking inside his eyes.

“I don’t know your mum Hazel. I came to know about her when you did,” he said while taking a deep breath.

She frowned, he left.

“Will I be able to know about my parents?” She thought sadly.

“Mum didn’t agree to let us go alone, but I wanted to spend my time alone with you, so finally I emotionally blackmailed her,” Carmen said happily.

“Maybe she is right, it is not safe for us here,” said Hazel.

“It’s not like all the time bad things happen,” Carmen shrugged.

“It happens trust me I know better” she said while looking at the ice-cream parlor.

“Let’s go, let’s eat some ice-cream,” Carmen said excitedly.

She grabbed her hand and took her inside the parlor. She chose strawberry flavor.

“What do you want, Hazel?” She asked. She looked at her and Hazel was looking too confused.

“The white one,” she said awkwardly.

“The white you mean Vanilla?” She asked. She nodded. They took their cup towards the table.

“Why did you call Vanilla the white one?” She asked curiously.

“Because I have not eaten ice-cream since age 6” she said smiling.

“What? Why?” Carmen was shocked.

“My foster parents were not that merciful,” she said, smiling. Carmen felt very sorry for her.

“But today you will have as many as you like,” said Carmen excitedly. Hazel smiled with a whole heart. They were chatting happily when a tall black haired girl with tan skin and light brown eyes approached them. Carmen gives her a nasty look.

“Well, what we got here is cute little Carmen with a peasant” she said while looking at Hazel from up to down.

“Elena, I think you should go and get lost,” said Carmen angrily.

“I am totally not interested in looking at your ugly face,” she said while crossing her arms.

“I am here to know who this peasant is with you? Doing some charity?” She said smiling.

“Yeah, she is doing Charity that’s why people are coming over our table asking for some ice-cream. You can have it honey, we don’t hate poor,” said Hazel and forced her ice-cream cup in Elena’s hand, she was staring at her like she had seen something awful.

“Yeah, you can have this too” said Carmen and put the cup on her other hand.

“Let’s go bestie,” Carmen said to Hazel and the both girls left.

“You,” Elena was very angry.

“Whoa that was Ace Hazel you did rock” Carmen said excitedly.

“Who was she?” She asked curiously.

“The biggest bully at school, she is the right hand of the queen bee,” she said, annoyed.

“Queen bee?” She asked, shocked.

“Yeah you will find out soon about that bitch” Carmen said, annoyed.

She was sleeping in deep sleep when she got up with thirst. She got out of bed and went to the kitchen. It was all quiet in the whole house; she walked slowly through the hall. She stopped by Eden’s room. It was all quiet, it seemed like he was not home yet.

“Where has he gone in the middle of the night?” she thought. She walked ahead. She opened the fridge to get a water bottle. She was drinking when she heard a loud thud making her heart jump. She turned to look, a tall shadow approaching her.

She was about to scream when a hand over her mouth blocked her scream.
