Kieran followed Inez out of the conference room and back to the CEO's office.

Sensing her foul mood, he refrained from speaking throughout the entire journey.

Kieran approached her and handed her his phone to show her the messages. "Kiddo wants you, her futur sister-in-law, to come with me. She's inviting you to a meal."

Inez was stunned. Pointing at herself, she asked, "Me going with you to Salinsburgh?"

Inez finished reading Gwendolyn's messages soon enough.

She was surprised by Gwendolyn's acceptance of her because she had always thought that the Harris family had very high standards for their descendants' spouses. A girl from a small affluent family in Fairlake wouldn't catch the attention of such a prestigious family like the Harris family, and their engagement only happened because of Kieran's stubbornness.

However, it turned out that Gwendolyn was willing to accept her, which made her quite delighted.

"Will you come with me, Inez? Just treat it as a short vacation and an opportunity to relax for a few days." Despite feeling happy, Inez didn't immediately agree. Daring dinner, Kieran informed Jerome and Madelyn about his plan to go to Salinsburgh with Inez.

Madelyn smiled contentedly at Inez and Kieran. After dinner, Jerome immediately helped Inez to find an employee who could act as a deputy CEO temporarily. He also planned to supervise the tasks from home to ensure that Inez wouldn't have to worry about work during her stay in Salinsburgh.

Since Madelyn and Jerome were so enthusiastic about it. Inez couldn't find any reasons to refuse. Hence, she openly accepted Kieran's invitation to Salinsburgh.

Back in Salinsburgh, Gwendolyn didn't return to Harrick Villa after getting off from work. She ate her dinner at the cafeteria in Harris Group instead.

Without Cedrick and the kids, the place she had lived for so long felt empty and no longer like a home.

Cedrick had just left, but she was already feeling unused to it.
