Half an hour later, Kieran arrived at the Mossey residence and entered quietly.

Madelyn was drinking coffee and watching some television shows in the living room. When she spotted him, she welcomed him enthusiastically.

"You're back, Mr. Kieran! Would you like to sit for a while before heading upstairs? Inez left early today. Looking at the time, I think she should be back soon."

Picking up the hints that she had dropped, Kieran agreed, "Sure."

He sat on the couch with his back straight and accepted the cup of coffee that she had passed him.

Ten minutes later, the police arrived before Inez did.

The Mossey family's bodyguards escorted the policemen in, while Percy trailed behind with his hands in handcuffs.

When Madelyn saw that, she was confused. "W-What's going on?"

The policemen nodded at her politely before approaching Kieran and informing him, "Mr. Kieran, you're the greatest victim in Percy's drugging incident. He wishes to apologize to you directly and seek your forgiveness, so we've brought him here. Are you willing to meet him?"

Kieran took a sip of the coffee elegantly, his expression as cold as before. He did not say anything.

Madelyn did not dare to utter a single word either.

Percy was so desperate to rush forward that the policemen had to hold him back to prevent him from pouncing at Kieran's feet.

"I was wrong, Mr. Kieran! Please listen to my explanation."

Kieran placed the coffee cup down calmly. "Wait a while."

The expression on Kieran's face did not change. "You said that I got drugged accidentally. Who were you planning to drug?"

Jerome was furious. He grabbed the coffee cup on the table and smashed it on Percy's body.

Percy did not even care about the Mossey family's insults.

Still on his knees, he moved forward and adjusted his glasses with an appeasing smile. "Now that I've canceled the engagement, are you satisfied, Mr. Kieran?"

Kieran's expression was extremely grim. Looking askance at Percy, he said, "I'm very unsatisfied with how arrogant and rude you are. Your lustful act and failed attempt at rape have revealed how utterly immoral you are. The prison is a better place for you!"

The policemen immediately handcuffed Percy again and dragged him away.

As Kieran's shrieks of plea faded into the distance, a strange silence descended upon the Mossey residence.

Kieran cleared his throat gently before looking at Jerome solemnly.

"Mr. Mossey, now that Inez is single again, what are you planning to do regarding her marriage?"

Madelyn and Jerome exchanged a look with each other.

Everyone was smart enough to figure it out. Kieran had deliberately arranged for the police to come after all members of the Mossey family were there before starting the whole show of getting Percy to cancel the engagement. Judging from how much effort he had put into this, it was obvious that he truly loved Inez.
