Nico, sull recovering from the pain inflicted by the salt water, steadied his breathing, lowered his gaze, and remained silent.

Charles noticed Nico's attempt to appear tough and continued. "I can't fathom what makes Cedrick so special that all of you are willing to sacrifice yourselves to save him." Nico sneered. "Of course, you wouldn't understand. You're not even worthy of a single strand of his hair. Ms Gwendolyn would never have any interest in someone like you, ever." Charles anger surged and he lunged forward, grabbing Nico by the hair. He shouted at him with all his might "Why wouldn't she like me? Why? I love her more than anything"
