Chapter 45: My Woman Is Alive

I watched as the van stopped in front of the club. Dreamer pulled in after and got off his bike. I stood in front of the door unable to open it.

"Cherokee, she is alive."

" I looked at him what?"

" She is alive."

I pulled those doors open and jumped into the van. I saw her lying unconscious on the bed with her arms laying on the outside of the blankets.

I kneeled down next to her. I had tears flowing down my face. I lifted her and carried her from the van to our old room. I lay her down on the bed and then I locked the door. I removed my cut, boots socks, and jeans and climbed into the bed pulling her into my arms.

"Never again will I let my anger get in the way of talking to her."

I will kiss her senseless when she argues with me. I thought she hated me. I fell asleep for the first time since I thought I lost her.

I woke up and slowly opened my eyes.

I saw Dove sitting on me. "Cherokee."

" Baby, I reached up and touched her face."

" Don't ever do that again I said."

" They told me you cut your wrists and I thought you were dead."

" I love you Dove."

" I know you thought I didn't care about the baby."

" But I really did not know what I was looking at."

" Now I do."

" I didn't go home because you locked yourself away from me."

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you about my first wife."

" She died a long time ago."

" She begged me to find another love."

" I found you."

" Pleased don't ever leave me again."

I pulled her down to me and kissed her. I made love to my woman for a few hours before we got up and took a shower. We dressed and walked down the stairs and to the table.

"Good to see you alive Dove I heard Dreamer say."

"This man went crazy when he thought you were dead."

" I was never so happy to find you alive when we got to Savage's club."

" Bear will come tearing in here soon when he finds out we went and brought you back home."

I leaned against Cherokee and he put his arm around me.

"He is not taking her back I said."

Then we heard a man say, "Who is going to stop me"?

"I am," I heard Cherokee tell him. "Shit head, this is your last chance."

" hurt my sister again and I will hide her where you will never find her."

" Bear,"

" Yes Dove."

" Shut the fuck up and sit down."

We watched as Bear shut his mouth and sat down.

"That's a good boy"

Dove said. We looked over at the expression on Bear's face. We all laughed.

"It is good to have Dove back where she belongs."

" I heard Dreamer say."

" I have never been happier I said kissing the side of her neck."

" So when is Jim coming Dreamer?"

" In two days."

" He is not happy with you either Cherokee."

" Doesn't matter."

" Half the MC's around here are related to Dove."

" They are all pissed at me right now."

I yelled, "where is my favorite prospect"?

No one answered me. I stood up in the booth and "yelled shut the fuck up."

It got really quiet. "Thank you."

" Now I asked a question."

" Where is my favorite prospect?"

Apparently, a club member thought he could disrespect me.

"Bitch you don't have a prospect."

" Oh, shit I said looking at my brother."

I watched as Bear slowly stood up and looked at the member that called me a bitch.

"What did you just call her?"

" A fucking bitch got a problem with that."

I leaned back against the wall with my arms folded. I watched Bear storm over to the man and pick him up by his throat.

"First off she is the queen of this club."

" She is Cherokee's wife and woman."

" And, she is my baby sister."

" If you ever disrespect her again I will cut your throat."

We watched as Bear threw the man across the room where he hit the wall.

"Now, I believe that Dove asked where her favorite prospect was."

" The one you threw has him standing outside for an hour now with his arms outstretched holding books in each hand."

I jumped off the booth seat and stormed outside. I walked over and pushed the books off his hands. I grabbed his hand and pulled him into the club.

I walked over and looked at the club member, I then brought my foot up and kicked him right between his legs.

"All you mother fuckers listen up and listen good."

" This is my prospect, not yours."

" No one punishes him but me."

" The next one that tries that shit will be standing out there holding books."

I looked at him and made him set down.

I grabbed a wet towel and wiped his face and neck. I handed him a glass of water and said. '

"When you are cooled down."

" Please bring me a fresh cup of coffee."

I walked over to the table and sat down.

"I yelled prospect sit your ass back down."

" You are not cooled off yet."

Everyone watched him sit back down.

"Dam sis, that bastard his still laying on the floor holding his balls."

" Steel-toe boots I said laughing."

" Well hell, you really hurt that idiot."

" No one does that shit to my prospect."

" He is mine."

" Cherokee you tell them to leave him alone."

" I stood up and said. Listen up."

" No one tells that prospect what to do but Dove."

" He belongs to her."

" Got it?"

" We got it Cherokee."

I watched as she sat back down.

I looked up as my prospect put my coffee in front of me then he kissed my cheek.

"Thanks Dove."

" You belong to me not them."

" Go have a beer."

We watched as he walked back and sat down.

"Bear said what the hell."

" He kissed your cheek."

" Always has since day one."

" He loves Dove, Donna said."

" Dove is like his big sister."

" She will kill anyone over him."
