Elijah blurted that out almost instinctively. Noticing Sheena’s angry gaze, he softened his tone and continued, “What I mean is, it’s too late now, and you shouldn’t bother him at this hour. Besides, being alone with him wouldn’t be appropriate.” 

Elijah disliked Howard, and Howard reciprocated the feeling.

The bodyguard thought for a moment before saying, “No, but he stood by the window for a while after you left.” 

Sheena pursed her lips, lost in thought.
