Onyx Pov

The others left the room once we dismissed them. The only ones in the room other than me and Demon are Esmeralda, Zack, Nathan, Sonja, Ragnar, and Amos mate.

Esmeralda claps her hands, “glad we got that way, so high priestess and high priest what do we do from here?”

Demon looks at me and shrugs, “what you want to do my little mate?”

Glaring at him, “I’m not little and I guess we should train and try to find land somewhere if this is really going to be a pack.”

Sonja adds, “Also a connection has to be formed and everyone has to make the vows to being a pack.”

Ragnar speaks from his corner, “That will have to be done on either a night with a full moon or a new moon, so that will have to wait another week or two.”

Demon nods, “He’s right forming a pack has to be done under a moon either new or full. And I think it would be safer to wait on the land as well until the pack and connection is formed. I would rather have the connection and know their intentions before making a home with them.”

Nodding, “Okay so the only thing to do now other than train is to take flame girl into town to get clothes and essentials like Amos asked. By the way, I’m tired of calling you flame girl so what’s your name?”

The girl’s eyes grew and she resembles a deer in headlight, “Uhh umm”. She clasped her hand together and then unclasped them to wipe on her pants and then repeated.

Sonja sighs gently when she did it for a fifth time, “Child no one will hurt you. We just want to know your name.”

she put her head down and stared at the floor, “If I tell you then you will try to get rid of me.”

Mika’s head tilted as she blinks from her corner, “huh?”

“I don’t know”

Demon blinks, “What are you talking about little flame? If we were to try to get rid of you then that would make us a bunch of hypocrites. Trust me I am not going to deal with the aftermath of us trying to get rid of you. So what is your name little flame?”

The girl stares at Demon as if looking for something and then sighed when she didn’t find it.

“My name is Willow Green. I’m the Mayor’s Daughter.”

Demon nods, “Okay, thank you for telling us, little flame.”

Willow frowned but don’t say anything.

I shake my head smirking, “Okay lets go get Willow some clothes and food before it gets too dark. Sonja you are coming with us unless you had something else you wanted to do.”

Laughing, “No nothing at all. Was going to ask to come with you but you beat me to it.”

I nod and realize that Ragnar is still in the rags that we found him in, “Ragnar you will come with us too. Need to get you clothes as well.”

“Very well, Alpha.”

Gently grabbing my hand, Demon walks out the door slowly and we head to the elevator.

“Things are going to be very weird but interesting from here on out you know.”

I smirk at my reflection on the elevator doors, “Yeah it will but we did sign up for this. Had plenty of chances to just cut our loses and bail.”

Chuckling, “And our dumb asses stayed with no way back now. You ready for this?”

A weird feeling came over me as soon as he asked the question. I can’t put my finger on it but I knew that I would follow him anywhere and that he would do the same for me.

“We are going to be Alphas of a pack. A pack is supposed to represent a family with the Alpha and Luna being the parents and the rest are brothers, sisters, uncle, aunts, children, and all that jazz. Once the link is made it will not be as easy to break the link as when we were slaves. If we try to abandon the pack then we could die.”

“What do you mean die Mika?”

“Well from my understanding the link to make a pack needs a root or a primary mind to connect to. Everyone in the pack will be connected to us and Demon and Shadow. The link will then create branches where the others can talk to each other. Others can leave and it wont hurt them or us too badly but if we leave then we are basically trying to take out the root of a tree. It will kill us and harm the rest psychologically.”

The elevator dinged causing me to jump a little. Demon’s hand turns my head to him, “We really can’t turn back from this once the link is made. So are you ready for it or do you want to abandon ship now?”

His tarpit eyes hold me making me smile at the warmth that is only there for me, Alex, and Micky but maybe soon it will be for our little makeshift pack as well. Maybe just maybe this pack will make us feel whole again and we can finally be happy, complete, and at peace.

I smile and walk into the elevator, “I’m ready for us to have peace and some happiness. I will gladly be covered in blood to get that for you and the boys. If you’re ready, then so am I. The question is are you ready Demon?”

He chuckles and steps in beside me, grabbing hold of my hand, “I’m ready. Lets go get our peace with blood so we can finally be happy with one another and with our soon to be pack.”

The elevator doors close with me chuckling, “What are we going to name the pack?”

Demon smiles and shrugs, “How about Vantablack? It’s the darkest black in the world. Figured it would be fitting for what we are going to do.”

“I love it. From now on we are the alphas of Vantablack and no one will stand in the way of our happiness or peace.”
