Chapter 69

Mother Confessor:

While listening to the story Sa’bork has been telling about some kind of tech problem, I see that the masked officer has entered. I felt my skin flush slightly in a mix as I became further intoxicated, and because of my attraction to the officer. Though he does not pay attention to me as he sent Red Wolf to go and sit secluded in the same booth where I had shared a drink and a cigarette with him. He stood at the bar and Captain Graxis left the table to join him. This stirred the memory of being with him. Though we had not had each other, it was still a pleasant time.

Taking another swig of the bitter sweetness in the half empty bottle. Turning my attention back to the Uldivarion as he continues his tale. It is quite in depth at this point that my lack of knowledge on what he is speaking about fails me. Electronics the way he speaks of them as being far more complex in design than some living creatures. Keeping my ears tuned in as he continues. It is interesting to me despite my lack of understanding of the finer details.

Watching as the Captain and Ober-Commander part ways at the bar. The captain begins to saunter back to the table, his eyes betray his expression. He seems just as perplexed after speaking with the officer. Running through all the possibilities in my mind as to what could have been added to the endless list. In part at least as I can make of the interaction. They are getting ready to do something highly important, and that it is going to be the groundwork for whatever is to be added to the bigger picture.

Graxis:

Making my way back to the group, feeling a bit anxious about our approaching appointment with Commander Kionxxia in the next few hours. Going to be stressful working out the particulars in strategizing on how to assault an entire planet. Though there have been numerous theories and computer simulations. It is going to be a daunting task. This seems doubly so as we are not exactly in the numbers high enough to be considered a full scale invasion force. More like an antagonistic nuisance at best. Although from what I have heard in rumors, and had seen of the Ober-Commanders iron will, we might have a chance. Coupled with the intellect of the Uldivarions, as they are brilliant in strategy. I just hope between unwavering will and strategy of a surgeon, that will be enough to give us the upper hand in the long run. We need to be playing a game of three dimensional chess, and hope our enemy came only prepared to play on a two dimensional platform.

“Hey, Captain”, Sa’bork says jovially as I sit back down,” Glad you made it back.” Looking at is lightened face from his excessive drinking, as it almost glowed a bright blue contrasting his much darker blue skin.

“Just taking care of some last minute ordeal, before getting down to business”, I explain from my short leave of the group.

“I hear ya, Cap”, he says slapping me on the shoulder with his large upper left hand, “ Now where was I?”

Taking a large gulp from his quarter filled cup,” Ah yes, I remember,” he says slightly slurred,” The Zemosion squad I made mention of before you left. You will not believe what I am going to tell you.”

I watch him as he finishes the last of his drink, and then he begins on the story he promised. He waivers in his seat, as he uses his large hands to aid in his storytelling. Looking like a marionette controlled by an amateur puppeteer who had no clue on what he was doing other than randomly pulling strings. I tried hard not to laugh as the Uldivarion comically gets more animated the deeper he goes into his tale.
