“Am I going to lose my virginity?” she asked as she scrubbed her body with the fragrant wash in the bathroom.
She had never even thought this far.
She knew she was going to carry a baby, but the process before it was not something she was prepared for.

However, she knew that she had to do this for Cameron, so she sucked it up and went outside of the bathroom, making sure that she was extra clean in case Vaughn criticized her

She didn’t bother wearing any clothes since she knew they were bound to come off. Instead, she donned a white robe and nervously made her way toward Vaughn’s room.
She knocked on his door and only entered when he gave her the signal to come in.
The room was dark when Eloise came in, only the small, dim lamp illuminating the room.
Vaughn was sitting down on his bed, reading something on his phone.
“Sit down,” he said in a deep voice, not bothering to look up.
She nervously sat down, covering her legs with her arms.
She thought she had already prepared well enough for what was about to happen. But seeing Vaughn in his bed made her heart feel like it was racing a thousand miles per hour.
She sat down on his bed and warily looked over at him.
“So, are you ready?” he asked.
She gulped and closed her eyes before letting out a deep breath.
‘You’re doing all of this for Cameron, Eloise,‘ the sentence echoed in her mind.

“I’m ready,” she said. “How are we going to do this? Should I get on top of you?”
Vaughn was surprised by her sudden bravery. It was only then that he lifted his head and saw that she was only in her robe, her legs glistening in the dark.
She had an anxious look on her face, and she kept biting her lips, turning them into a deep rosy red shade.
‘Is she trying to seduce me?‘ he asked inside his head.
“On top of me?” he asked.
“Yeah,” she said. “I’m new to this, so I don’t know what to do. Honestly, I much rather you just lead everything-”
“What are you talking about?” he asked.
She looked at him with wide eyes.
“Aren’t we going to do it? Have sex?”
“What?” he exclaimed, sitting up on the bed. “Where the fuck did you get that idea?”
Eloise didn’t know how to respond.
“Well, you told me to come into your room and “start” the surrogate process.”
He looked at her with disbelief.
“No,” he said. “We’re not going to have sex–even if that’s what you want.”

“What? No!” she exclaimed loudly. “Y–you were in your robe,” she stammered. “What was I supposed to think about?”
He sighed and massaged the bridge of his nose.
“I’m not going to have sex with you. You’re lucky if you think you’re even worthy of that.”
As much as Eloise was happy that she wouldn’t lose her virginity that night, it stung when he insinuated that she wasn’t worthy for him.
“Good,” she said, keeping her pride up. “It’s not like I wanted to have sex with you anyway.”
“We’re going to do in–vitro fertilization.”
“Oh,” she said, closing her eyes in embarrassment.

He shook his head. “So, we’re going to the hospital tomorrow with Alina. I just wanted to tell you to be on your best
behavior.”
She stood up from the bed and fixed the robe on her body.
“You could have waited until tomorrow to tell me that,” she said, still embarrassed.
He smirked. “Then, I wouldn’t have witnessed something entertaining tonight.”
She glared at him before storming out of his room.

“Let’s go,” Eloise said as she entered Vaughn’s car.
“You’re not coming with me,” he said. “I’m going to pick Alina up.”
“Who would accompany me, then?”
“My driver, Archie,” he said. “He’s in the car at the back.”
She didn’t have to be told twice as she got out of the car.
“Good morning,” she cheerily greeted.
The driver was taken aback by her greeting. All of the women that Vaughn had brought home even before Alina didn’t even bother throwing him a smile.
“Good morning, ma’am.”
“I’ll be in your care today,” she smiled. “And please, don’t call me “ma’am” anymore. Just Eloise is fine.”
“Don’t worry, Eloise. I’ll keep you safe.
The two of them drove to the hospital, happily chatting along the way.
As they got to the parking lot of the hospital, Eloise couldn’t help but feel nervous.
“Are you okay, Eloise?” he asked.
“Yeah,” she said. “Just a bit nervous.”
Archie empathetically looked at her.

“I already like you better than Alina, Eloise. You’re going to be great.”
She nodded her head. “Thank you. I’ll get going now.”
She got out of the car and wondered why all the people around Vaughn aren’t fond of Alina.
From what she read online, she seems like a good person. Multiple social media pages are praising both her looks and personality.
She sat on one of the chairs in the waiting room and waited patiently for the two of them to arrive.
Just then, he received a text from Vaughn telling her that they were going to take longer since Alina was still getting ready.
She shrugged her shoulders and kept on waiting for the two of them.
It took a while before the two finally came in.
Like a real celebrity, Alina was the textbook definition of beautiful–long legs, voluminous yet skinny figure, blonde hair, and angled features.
Looking at them like this, they appeared to be the perfect. couple.
It somehow made Eloise a bit insecure. However, she didn’t make it obvious.
She genuinely smiled as she stood up from the chair.

Alina merely gave her a tight–lipped smile, causing Eloise to furrow her eyebrows.
‘Maybe she’s just having a bad morning,‘ she thought.
“I’ll go to the restroom first. Wait for me here, okay, babe? We’ll go to Dr. Stevens together,” Vaughn said, placing a kiss on her cheek.
Once Vaughn was out of sight, Eloise decided to break the tension between her and Alina. Since the two of them would be seeing each other more often from here on out, she decided to at least be civil with her.
“How are you?” Eloise asked. “I saw your latest shoot. You were really pretty-”
“It’s you?” Alina suddenly interrupted her. “The girl he picked to be our surrogate?”
“Uh, yeah,” Eloise said, a bit confused.
Alina looked her up and down.
