When the elevator reached the floor of her office, Luca walked out and noticed that the assistant's office was empty.

She clocked in before entering her office and putting on her lab coat. Then, she entered the laboratory.

Although they did not mention the purpose of the meeting, Rhett could guess that it was probably to discuss Luke and Luca's news.

Thus, Luca did not need to be at this meeting.

When Luca heard that, she gave a deadpan nod and sat back down to continue working.
