I can’t breathe.

I can’t breathe.

“He…”

Forcing the last bit of my nausea down my throat I continue, “he wrote me a letter…three months ago.”

Silence.

“He was writing a letter three months before our 2nd anniversary.”

I pause for a bit, involuntarily wiping the tears uncontrollably falling down my eyes. My mom looked at me with pity showing in her eyes. She couldn’t say a thing. She just listened, pulled me into a tight hug, and caressed my hair as if I were the most fragile thing she’s ever seen.

“Today was supposed to be that day.” I choke out before my soft sniffs and sobs turned into a loud wail.

I can feel myself shaking so bad. My lips are turning blue as I hugged my mother back and continued crying on her shoulders.

“I can’t do this.” I whisper.

How could you…leave me?
