Evan persisted, “When can I transfer her to another hospital?”

He didn’t doubt Fawn County Hospital but would feel more at ease if Caroline received treatment

elsewhere.

The doctor explained, “We must wait for her to regain consciousness first. Are you in a hurry to leave?

can provide caregiving services here”

“We don’t need a caregiver. I’ll take care of her,” Evan insisted.

The doctor nodded and added, “We can’t predict her condition accurately yet. She suffered a brain

hemorrhage, and it will take time for her to wake up.”

Evan’s expression soured as the doctor left the room.

Noticing Evan’s exhaustion, Reuben suggested, “Mr. Jordan, would you like to rest while I stay?”

“No, I’ll stay until she wakes up,” Evan declined.

Neil and Paige chimed in. “We’re here too.”

Evan glanced up to see Paige helping Nell walk over.

Paige advised, “Caroline won’t be waking up anytime soon. You should rest, Mr. Jordan.”

Evan firmly declined, “I won’t say it again!”

Evan frowned. “So, you have no doubts about Caroline being your sister?“!

“No doubts. Before she was incarcerated, I checked her physical examination report and noticed her

blood type differed from a previous test. Later, I obtained a hair sample from Carol through my

connection with a prison guard and confirmed she’s my sister with a DNA test.”

Evan realized he had misunderstood Neil’s relationship with Caroline, even treating her poorly due to

his distrust. He regretted not believing her when she tried to explain.

Suddenly, Evan thought about Tyler and Liora. His heart raced as he considered that they might be his

children.

As he was about to ask, Neil said, “Are you going to ask if the children are yours?”

Evan stared at him. “What are you suggesting?”

Neil looked at Caroline in the ICU and said, “You should talk to her about this in person.”

Evan glanced at Paige, who quickly averted her eyes as if to say, “Don’t ask me. I don’t know.”

became convinced that the two children were his.

Caroline was transferred to a regular ward at 3:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, Thomas and Greta traveled from Angelbay to visit her. They discovered Caroline’s room

encountered Evan at the door.
