Paige tried to break free, but Alex forcefully pulled her into his arms and into the elevator.

Paige appeared stubborn on the outside, but she felt a sense of relief inside. No one had ever stood up

for her like that, except her parents and Caroline. She had been feeling extremely exhausted for the

few days, lacking the energy for any arguments.

Reuben took Daniella to the hospital’s office to meet Evan.

Daniella found Evan sitting in a chair, reading a report with a serious expression.
