The bodyguard shook his head. “I don’t know, but they are in a heated argument.”

Caroline set aside her spoon, puzzled, and went to the door. She heard two voices she recognized

before she saw the people.

“Price, are you vengeful or something? Has my car offended you?” Paige shouted

“It was you who suddenly drove in reverse. I wasn’t the one who crashed forward on purpose,” Alex

explained patiently.

Paige burst out in laughter. “You might as well claim that I’m blind!”

“There’s nothing I can do if you choose to think that way,” Alex said lazily

“Damn it! If you hadn’t come here for no reason, would my car crash into yours?”

“A certain individual asked me to visit Tyler to show concern on their behalf.”

“It’s not a concern if you don’t even have the courage to tell the person’s name!”

Caroline was about to speak while observing their endless argument. But before she could say

anything, a light voice echoed “It’s terrifying to see them quarreling.”

Caroline turned her head and unexpectedly saw Jamie standing behind her. Jamie glanced at Alex and

Paige with a hint of resentment, even though there seemed to be no clear reason for it.

Caroline was concerned that the argument might worsen Jamie’s condition. She quickly

reassured her, “Jamie, those are my friends. Please go inside I’ll handle this

Jamie agreed, turning to head back to the villa.

Hearing the noise, Alex glanced over. He caught a glimpse of a familiar face, but Caroline’s figure

blocked his view.

Alex furrowed his eyebrow, thinking, ‘Why does the woman look so much like Evan’s mother?”

How could Evan’s mother be acquainted with Caroline?

When Caroline approached to stop the quarrel, he dismissed the absurd thought.

“Stop quarreling out here. There’s space in the house for you to utilize your skills, and the neighbors

won’t watch.”

Paige glared at Alex, grunted, and approached Caroline. “Let’s go, Carol. Ignore him!”

Alex said, “I’m not going in.”
