Caroline burst into tears instantly. “Ty, is that you?”

Caroline pushed away the blanket. “Take me to see the child if you claim he is still alive! Take me

to see him!”

She got out of bed and walked out of the room barefooted

Paige caught up in haste. “Slow down, Carol!”

As Caroline stepped outside, a tall figure appeared. When she looked up, she saw Evan gazing at

her seriously.

His stern expression reminded Caroline of his harsh remark. She frowned and said coldly, “Leave

me alone!”

Evan stood at the entrance, unmoving, and asked, “Where are you headed?”

“I’m going to see Ty!”

“I’ll let you see him if you get back on the bed and be good.”

Caroline glared at him. “Who do you think you are to order me around? I’m going to see my son. Go

away!”

Evan squinted, then lifted Caroline into his arms and headed directly for the bed.

Caroline shrieked and fought wildly, yelling. “Release me, Evan! Let me go!”

She repeatedly punched Evan

Keeping his anger in check, Evan forcefully laid Caroline on the bed and asked, “Do you

understand the danger you’re putting yourself in? Do you even know what is going on with your

body?”
