Chapter 105 Where Is Caroline

Caroline lay on the floor, her red, swollen hands shaking. She stared at the crack in the door from day

to night and then to day again.

The claustrophobic house and the fear of death crushed her spirit constantly. She hadn’t ended her life

because of the three lives growing inside her womb.

She closed her eyes, and Evan’s figure appeared in her mind. Over the past few days, she had thought

about many things and suspected the Xanders or the Jordans were probably behind her predicament.

Both families had vast connections and great influence, making it impossible for her weak self to stand

up against them.

Alone and pregnant, she worried about what would happen to her children when they were born. They

were innocent, and she still had yet to avenge her mother.

Curling up her body, Caroline decided to place a bet for her children’s future survival. She wanted to

believe that Evan would keep and protect them.

Evan sat on the sofa with a gloomy expression. The stubbles on his chin added to his worn–out

appearance. His bloodshot eyes remained fixed on his phone without looking away.

Lily approached Evan, holding a bowl of soup. “Eat something, sir. Otherwise, your health will

deteriorate before Ms. Shenton is found.”
