To Be Yours Again novel (Jenny and Alex)
Chapter 631 Amnesia May Not Be a Bad Thing

The woman didn't care about Alec's distrust and thought it was normal. "You can check for yourself, but you have to wait until you're feeling better," she told him. "I will," Alec replied.

After reading through all the materials, Alec's expression became solemn. The woman observed him silently, a smile playing at the corner of her mouth.

All the information she gave Alec was true, and she even helped him discover why the Fausts had targeted him, though she had altered some details.

"Is there something about a former wife in the information?" Alec inquired when he saw the name Jenny, his heart racing.

"Yes, her name is Jenny, but you've been divorced for a long time," the woman confirmed.

"Why did we get divorced?" Alec asked, puzzled.

"You didn't like her, after all. You were arranged to marry her by your grandfather, and there were no feelings at the time," the woman explained candidly. She didn't see a reason to hide that from him since the information was readily available. "But after the divorce, you became interested in her. Your behavior indicated you fell in love with her, but she didn't reciprocate and found your persistent pursuit annoying." Alec frowned. Had he pursued her? He didn't think he was that kind of person.

The woman seemed to read his mind. "I'm not lying to you. We've known each other before your accident happened," she said, handing him her business card.

Alec took the card, and it read, "Blake Watkins, psychologist."

Alec was confused about why he was acquainted with a psychologist. "You're a psychologist?"

Blake smiled and explained, "Your condition was already severe when I saw you. You stubbornly believed that Jenny was your true love, so you followed her to Bardoff City when the Walters called her back, giving up everything in Parrington. But even so, she didn't want to reconcile with you. Your childhood experiences may be the reason for your behavior, as mentioned in the information you received."

Alec was taken aback. He couldn't believe he had given up his career for a woman. That wasn't like him at all.

When he remained silent, Blake continued, "Amnesia may not be a bad thing for you. The things that used to affect you seem to have no effect on you now."

Although the information was all in the folder, the pain of recalling the memories was far worse than reading about it from a piece of paper.

"Why did the Fausts want to kill me?" he asked, referring to the information. It stated that the person after him was sent by the Fausts, but no reason was specified. Seeing that Alec stopped talking about Jenny so quickly, Blake felt pleased. She had taken a liking to him and refused to allow anyone else a chance.

"Your grandfather probably didn't tell you, but he left his family in Bardoff City many years ago, and the reason why he left is known only to him. Xavier, the eldest son of the Fausts, was the one who was after you. He was supposed to take over the family, but for some reason, the head of the Fausts called all the members back, announcing that anyone in the family could take over, based on ability, whether son or grandson. The current head of the Fausts is your grandfather's elder brother, and your grandfather probably didn't want to fight with his brother, so he chose to leave Bardoff City and start his own career in Parrington."

However, Old Mr. Faust never imagined that Alec would still be caught up in their family's feud, despite his departure from Bardoff City.
