To him, Ben and Evelyn were the two bloodsuckers of the Spades. "Christopher, I know you're angry at them. Still, they're your parents," Harvey sighed. "I hope you treat them well after I pass. Even if you refuse to see them as your parents, you should spare them." The last thing he wanted was for Christopher to carry out the ruthless act of cutting off his parents. Harvey would never tolerate his descendants doing so.

"You still have many years ahead of you, Grandpa. Why would you bring up death?" Christopher smiled and dropped the discussion about his parents to avoid spoiling the mood.

Harvey dropped the topic and asked him, "Why didn't you bring Jenny along?"

"She said she wanted to stay at the hotel. You know I can't change her mind. So, I sent her there.* He looked helpless. Indeed, he was powerless around Jenny.

"Tomorrow. I'll pick her up," Christopher answered. Harvey nodded, but Christopher seemed worried. "Grandpa, do you really plan to tell her everything?"

"Wouldn't I give her a bad impression of the Spades if I refuse to tell her the truth after she came all the way here?" Harvey questioned.

Christopher agreed, but he looked rather reluctant. "But you haven't told me about it."

"It'll be your turn after I tell her." Harvey never planned to keep it a secret from his grandson, for Christopher would need to know the truth sooner or later. Once Harvey revealed the truth to Jenny and gauged her reaction, it would be time to inform Christopher next.

Christopher smiled. "Sure. I'll discuss tomorrow's menu with the chefs in case they serve food not to her taste."

"You sure care a lot about her even before you're married." Harvey poked fun at Christopher and wondered if his grandson had fallen in love with Jenny. There was no harm in developing real feelings for Jenny-only then would she feel Christopher's sincerity.

However, Christopher was flustered by Harvey's joke and quickly said, "No! I just wanted to be a good host to our guest! Wasn't that what you taught me before?"

Harvey didn't want to argue against that because he saw through Christopher.
