Chapter 7: First Training

I woke up early the next morning, the air was blowing inside my window. I stood up and closed it gently. Its feels so different today, the palace is so quite and I can’t hear any noises coming from around. Only the blowing air and the birds singing in different tone that crossing back and forth from the tree’s. It’s so peaceful in here. Unlike, in our house. The first voice that I hear every morning is Amber. She always interrupted me from a deep sleep, and it feels like it’s her morning routine.

“Lady Chloe, are you up?” Aunt Elisa asked from the back door.

“I am. I’m coming...” I replied, then open the door.

“Good morning, she greeted me.

“Good morning Aunt Elisa.”

“Did you slept will?” she asked me.

“Yes I am.”

“Oh! By the way! I bring your breakfast to bed. It’s a special meal. The palace cooked for you all ladies. So, enjoy your meal. In a few hours, your training will start.”

“Okey, thanks Aunt.” maybe the training is part of the competition. But what kind of training are we going to do?I asked my self but ended up with a question mark on my mind. I started to eat the food and it tasted so good. After I finished my food, Aunt Elisa told me that she will leave and be back for a minute. I took a bath in the bathroom and changed my clothes. I picked a jeans and a shirt from the closet. As Aunt Elisa said awhile ago, we are going to be trained. So I was thinking that I need to dress up comfortably.

After a few minutes, Aunt Elisa guided me to the back door of the palace, and saw the others girls been there talking to each other.

A group of soldiers from the palace is also there. I walked and find Faye from the crowd,

“Faye, I said... then she looked at me and put her arms on my shoulder.

“Do have any idea about the training we are supposed to do right now?” I asked her curiously.

“No. I don’t. ” she replied, then Gaile joined us.

“We are going to trained on how to properly use a sword.” gaile explained.

“A sword?.. I asked. Are we going to be a soldier? or a princess? I asked my self.

“Why not?” Faye added.

“Faye was right. Why not?

“Yeah! This would be fun. Don’t worry, we are not going to be a soldier.” Gaile said like she can read my mind then tap my shoulder and smiled.

“Good morning Ladies”, Froilan says, I hope you eated your meal. Because today the competition will start and we are going to start from teaching you on how to used a sword. In order for you to become a Princess, first you have to know on how to depend your self because not of the time the palace soldier can protect you. So we are here now, and this will serve as our training ground.

Froilan show us on how to hold a sword, then demonstrate some techniques. The sword is not just an ordinary because it’s a bit tiring to carry. I can feel the pain in my arms and shoulder. I’m not a sport lover, that’s why it’s a hard time for me.

Up.

Down.

To the right.

To the left.

That’s the basic moves. You have to put all your strengths to the sword, if not you are going to lose your self. Remember, to depend your own life. ” he explained.

After that, we tried to do it with the soldier’s and with the other ladies too. It’s really not easy, but as I watched the girls they had all the determination to win the competition. Time passes so fast, and wasn’t remember what time it is.

“Good job ladies, you can now rest your self to your rooms. In a few minutes, lunch is ready.” he said, then we started to go back in our rooms.

I gently lay down my self to my bed, the sun is up and that what makes hottier. My hand is turning into red, it was aching.

“Oh, a bruises in my arms too. I lose my balance awhile ago and fall into the ground.! I stood up and find my medical kit from my back bag. How lucky I am, im a girlscout isn’t it? I put a little vetadine and put on a band aids.

This would not be the last I am going to get bruises. It’s only our first day here. Wahhh!!!! and forty four days down.
