Five months had passed since Kyrenn passed away.
His death caused a major shift in Dargan, Varlan and Randi’s relationship. Instead of a quartet, they were forced to learn to get back together as a trio. In the years that the three of them led a pack, the brothers had each had their own role. The roles were neatly divided, taking advantage of the strengths each possessed individually, this base was now completely gone.
Although they had only recently been together with Randi, the bond between the two brothers and between the brothers and Randi had grown and intensified much more rapidly with the murder of Kyrenn, and along with their mate, two of their sons and Gwen, their daughter-in-law , they were partially able to fill the void that Kyrenn had left.
Dargan and Randi jointly took over the job that Kyrenn had held and together with Varlan, Dargan improved the packs security by providing the men with upgraded weapons and body protectors.
The biggest change was, that Ivac and Kadi rejoined both their packs in their fathers’ original pack and the brothers had jointly taken over the training of the pack members and security from Dargan.
Since the shock of Kyrenn’s murder had allowed both men to turn almost completely into Lycans, Dargan and Varlan decided to stop training with the rest of their pack. Their strength and stamina had become so exceptional that they didn’t want to risk seriously injuring one of their members during a workout. Although Dargan had always been able to morph further into a Lycan than his brothers, he too was unaccustomed to his newfound strength and stamina, so the brothers began training together, testing each other’s strength and stamina.
Their stamina also reflected on Randi...who was caught on more than one occasion with a slight limp in the morning..., or afternoon... even evenings.
Sadly, in the following months no one had found a single trace of Rann, and rumour went that he had fled Bryar’morrs surface.
Although the Alpha’s feared an attack by the rogues, nothing happened. This didn’t meant though, that the Alpha’s let their guard down, as there was still a spy amongst them...
And while the grief for Kyrenn did not diminish, the two remaining brothers were pleasantly surprised with unexpected news.
Four weeks after confirming their mate bond, Kadi, Ivac and Gwen announced they were pregnant with their first child.
