Chapter 26 "Why you in here?"

Avery P.O.V.

After gym class. I went inside the locker room, got underdressed and started jumping in the shower.

"Hey Avery, we're going to leave. We will see you in sixth-period class." I heard Ashely say it when I was under the water. I started washing my hair and body. I was enjoying my shower time. My muscles were sore. I can feel the pain in my back.

I started closing my eyes and thinking about swimming in the waterfall later. I like to go there and swim and don't think about my problems. I went there and relaxed and did not think about the bullying and the awful things that happened to me in school.

I knew Jake doesn't really want to be my friend. He has something going on. That is with me and him and more.

"What if he really wants to be your friend Avery? I heard my mind say to me. Or was it a new voice in my mind?

I am still in the shower. I don't hear anyone else here. I guess I was in here too long. I didn't hear anyone in the locker room.

"I am not here to see her." He said walking closer towards me. I started moving into the lockers. I can't move because he is blocking my way out.

"If you want me to bite." He said showing his teeth. I wanted to roll my eyes. I shouldn't listen to him. He is a player and asshole. I don't want to be around him.

So, I told him so.

"Leave me alone Elijah!" I am tired of you picking on me." I told him what was on my mind. So, I told him just how I feel.

"What!" "You think I am here to see you?" He said while smirking at me.

"Oh, get off your high horse," he told me with a roll of his eyes, and a smirk on his face.

"Excuse me," I told him with my hands on my hips.

Then he started moving closer. I started moving back. I could not move anymore because my back is on the lockers.

"What's wrong, Avery?" He mumbled in my face.

I felt his hot breath on my lips. He was so close. I could feel his lips on mine. If I move just a little bit closer to him. We must be kissing.

I felt my face hot, and I shouldn't be thinking about his lips on mine again since that day in the woods we made out. We have not kissed since.
