Sensing the force of the light, Heather's expression shifted as she cried out.

would there be in living if anything were to happen to you, Ambrose?" '

Sensing Heather's raw emotion, Ambrose took a deep breath full of remorse.

Zeke's gaze flashed at the sight of the pair rushing forward. He spat the words out coldly

before exploding with energy once again, sending out two powerful blows in Heather and

Ambrose's direction.

Ambrose could not dodge the attack in time, and blood sprayed from his mouth as the

blow struck him squarely and he landed hard against the ground.

At the same time, Heather was also sent flying, her face paling as she hit the ground.

A lump rose in Ambrose's chest at the words as he was close to tears.

It was just then that the baby seemed to sense that tragedy was about to strike, and burst

into tears from behind the rock.
