It was obvious that Rachelle's injuries had gotten the best of her in the end, and she could

not beat Martin.

Darryl could clearly see that all it took was for Martin to use the slightest bit of force, and

Rachelle could be done for.

Darryl returned to his senses quickly enough, glowering at Martin. "Let her go-

Sensing Darryl's panic, Martin let out a smirk as his gaze was nothing but condescending.

"Oh, Darryl Darby. Look at you, getting all worked up over this woman's life. And you still

dare say there's nothing between you?" "Don't worry, though. I won't kill her for now- but

only if you do as I say."

At the words, Martin cast a glance at the two pills on the ground before he spoke. "Bring

the pills to me at once. And kneel in apology for what you did to me before. If you don't do

it, don’t fault me for being heartless."

Martin was extremely smug then, as well as murderous.

Darryl had threatened his Sect Master to publicly apologize to the Pure

Yang Division, and such humiliation would have to be avenged.

Just then, Rachelle could not help but let out a cry from where she was held down. "I don't

need you to save me. Take the pill, and kill Prince Auten once you get your powers back.”

Rachelle's gaze was nothing but determined then as she spoke.

To tell the truth, she did not want to die just like this- but she did not want too much help

from Darryl. After all, Darryl had taken her purity away. How was she going to live this

down if Darryl save her life?

Darryl let out a breath at the look on Rachelle's face. "I'm not going to let you die."

As he spoke, Darryl stepped forward. He bent down to pick the pills up, before tossing

them in Martin's direction.

Martin caught the pills deftly, but his other hand did not let go of Rachelle's neck.

"Ha ha..." Martin was nothing but gleeful and excited upon getting the pills, before casting

a mocking look at Darryl. "Very well. It’s time for the other part of your promise."

Just then, Darryl clenched his fists as he bit down on his anger to say," Alright. I'll kneel..."

To tell the truth, Darryl did not want to suffer such humiliation. Yet he had no choice- he

had taken Rachelle's purity, and he would be no man if he were to stand and watch her

die.

"Darryl..."

Seeing as Darryl was about to go down onto his knees, Rachelle grew overwhelmed as she

roared, "I don't need you to save me, don't you understand that? There's nothing between

us, I refuse to take your kindness. Get out of here, leave with the pills now..."

Yet Darryl acted as if he had not heard her say anything. His knees bowed as he knelt

before Martin, saying the words one by one. "What happened before was all my fault,

Elder Martin. I was far too pompous and arrogant." "But what happened between us has

nothing to do with Rachelle. Please let her go."

As he spoke, Darryl's face was completely devoid of emotion as his tone of speech was

nothing but sincere.

Seeing as Darryl had indeed knelt, Martin stopped short before letting out a crazed peal of

laughter. "Ha, you yield so easily, Darryl Darby." "But now that we're on that, I'm all the

more curious about your relationship with this lady. You know, seeing as you were willing
