The Transfer
Chapter 75 - Prisoners

I woke as my body hit the ground hard. I gasped for air as my head clanged on the hard floor. My skin burned. I hissed and jumped to my feet as fast as I could

I watched as Henry walked out the dungeon cell, which was different to the last. He slammed the door shut behind him. It was different this time.

The last dungeon was a secluded room with a heavy metal door. This one was like a prison cell. It was gloomy and it had the metal bars on the front. The gate was locked tightly with chains and numerous different padlocks.

I ran towards them. It would be easy for me to open. As soon as I grasped the gate, my skin burned. I cried out and jumped back in pain.

What the hell?

I could smell my skin burning. It sizzled painfully.

"Everything in here is drowsed in silver. I wouldn't touch anything if I were you," I heard a voice. I jumped, startled as I looked up and blinked.

In the cell across from me, there was a boy. He looked my age, maybe even older. He had long, brown, shaggy hair that looked like it desperately needed a wash and a cut. He had gleaming green eyes.

Who was he? Why was he in the dungeons?

"Where am 1?" I asked him as I looked around. There were rows and rows of the cells. They all looked empty from what I could see.

Except for one.

There was one cell with a girl in it. She was laying against the wall. Her eyes were shut and I assumed she was sleeping. She looked peaceful and quiet.

I wondered who she was. Who were both these people?

"Henry's secret dungeons. The ones that only him and his little clonies know about. If you're here, I'm assuming that you found out about his schemes,” the guy said, flicking back his hair out his face. I shrugged at him.

"He doesn't know that I know. He told everyone that I had been working with the rogues. I think he's trying to turn the pack against me," I said. This male looked like he'd been in the dungeons for a while. So did the female.

"Right. What's your name?" He asked me. I looked around me quickly, glancing for another escape route. The only one lead right through the door.

"Alison. Alison Grey. You?" I introduced myself. The guy snickered and shook his head.

"Bodie. Bodie Benson," he replied. I gaped at him.

No freaking way!

He was Henry's third child? The one the witches told me about? Holy shit!

"You're his third child! The witches mentioned you, but they didn’t go into details," I exclaimed as I went to the gate again. I stopped before I could touch the silver coated bars.

Bodie nodded and sighed. He rolled his eyes and clicked his tongue. He looked tired and sad. I wondered how long it had been since he'd been outside in the real world.

"He brought me here years ago when I first figured out the evil he had done. I wanted to tell Liam, and the whole pack. But he wouldn't let me. Because I wasn't on his side, he kept me here,” Bodie explained to me. I ached.

"But what about Anthony and Veronica?" I asked him. Bodie laughed out and shook his head. He shrugged at me.

"Those two? They're just as bad as him. Henry and Melissa raised them to be spoilt brats. They don't know about what he's done, but they'd side with him anyway. They're both monsters too,” Bodie hissed out. I felt pained to think about family.

I missed mine.

"Alison, you're going to be in here for a long time. I suggest you get used to what you've got," Bodie sighed out. He turned around and he sat, facing me. He crossed his legs and sighed as he rubbed his legs.

I couldn't believe it. Henry had been keeping his son trapped in the secret dungeons for years. He'd been alive the entire time. What did everyone else think happened to him?

"What about everyone else? What did Henry tell them about you?" I asked him. Bodie laughed softly and shook his head. He seemed a little delirious. I didn't blame him.

"He told them I was killed in a rogue attack. I got the message. He's never letting me out of here," Bodie sighed out. He seemed sad and I felt bad for him. The poor guy.

"That's terrible. I'm sorry, Bodie," I told him softly. I hung my head slightly as I sunk to my feet and set on the ground. It burned a little, but my long workout pants and sneakers helped to stop some of the pain.

"It's not your fault. I guess we're cell mates now. The woman over there had been in here longer than I have," Bodie told me. He pointed to the sleeping woman a few cells down from me.

I looked at her. I wondered who she was. I would make introductions when she woke.

"Here's your food," I heard a voice. A man holding three trays appeared. He slid one under Bodie's prison bars and then one under mine.

Then, he walked down to the woman's and banged loudly on the bars. He slid the tray underneath the bars and the woman shook herself awake. She sat upright fast and looked around. Her eyes landed on me and she frowned.

"Eat up, pussies,” the man demanded. He turned and walked away again. I snarled at him as he passed me. I didn't like the man at all.

"Mira, this is Alison. She's cool,” Bodie introduced me. I widened my eyes as I looked back to the woman. I gaped at her.

Mira? As in the Mira that was the kidnapped friend of the witches I'd just met?

"You're Mira?" I exclaimed. I crawled over to the bar, careful not to touch it. She nodded and rubbed her forehead.

"The one and only, child. What did you do to get yourself here?" Mira asked me. I felt my heart skip a beat as I looked at her.

I had found Mira. I had actually found her.

But there wasn't anything I could do. I was trapped in the damn dungeon.

"Henry caught me snooping around the witches’ house down one of the trails. They told me everything. They told me all about you," I gasped out. I was in disbelief.

My head began to spin. I felt like throwing up. It was the silver. I was surrounded by it and I was already being affected by it. I held a hand to my forehead and tried to take deep breaths.

I did not feel well at all.

"Mira, let's not bombard her with a lot of things right now. Wait until she adjusts to the amount of silver in the room," Bodie said, giving Mira a look. She nodded at him and looked to me. She shifted over to the bars and leaned up against them.

I sighed out and tried to shuffle over to the wall. My skin was irritated and burning. I knew that I was going to be staying in the dungeons for a while, but I hoped that I could adjust to the silver quickly so I could think about how to get the hell out.

My back touched the wall and I hissed. It stung, and made my whole body cry out in pain. My beast was twitching from the pain. Neither of us felt good at all.

"You'll get familiarised to it within a few hours. It'll still sting, but you won't be as bothered by it," Bodie told me. He shuffled himself over to the wall and leant against it.

I shuddered and stared at the food at the front of my cell. It looked terrible.

"The food is as gross as it looks. But every few days, you've got to eat, or you'll starve. The water is fine too," Bodie said as he noticed me staring at the tray. I nodded slowly at him.

I needed to get the hell out of the dungeons. I wasn't going to spend the rest of my life there. I had to get Bodie and Mira out too. They'd been in here for years. People thought they were dead. They needed to be free. They deserved it.

"How are the others?" Mira asked me in a soft voice. I looked over to her and smiled weakly. "They're good. But they miss you, a lot. They're working everyday to try and track you down," I told her. I watched the corners of her lips tug upwards. I felt better knowing that I was able to give her some good news.

"So... they told you everything, huh?" Mira asked gently. I nodded at her and tried to sit up straighter against the wall.

I felt a sharp pain in my back, so I stopped trying.

"I wandered into the valley where they're staying in a cottage. I saw the cottage and assumed it was empty. I wanted to take a look, but they all came out. They brought me inside and sat me down. It was all quite overwhelming,” I explained softly. My throat felt tight.

"Wait a minute, you said your name was Alison Grey. Do you mean Grey as in the Grey family from Terialta?" Bodie suddenly asked me. I looked to him and I nodded. He looked confused.

"Why the hell are you here then?" He asked. He scratched the back of his head. The poor guy was definitely delirious. He needed to be let out of the dungeon. So did Mira. They both needed to be set free.

"My father sent me to Takiani on one of those one month transfers. The day I was supposed to go home, I met my mate. So I stayed and became pack," I explained to him. Bodie's eyes twinkled slightly.

"Your mate? Who?" He asked, sounding intrigued. I smiled weakly at the thought of Liam. I missed him.

I couldn't help but think about the look on his face when I told him to let Henry take me away. He looked devastated. He looked heartbroken.

Liam needed me. I needed him. We needed to be with each other while everything around us was falling apart.

“Liam. Liam Hastings," I said. Bodie looked even more excited. He obviously knew Liam then.

"No shit! Good for him! I was close friends with him before I got sent down here. I always hoped a mate would settle his wild side down," Bodie said with a goofy smile. It made my heart race to know that once I got Bodie free from the dungeon, I could reunite Liam with an old friend.

"He's doing well. Beta of Takiani, as of right now," I said. Bodie’s eyes twinkled even more.

"That's great. But we all know that Liam's true position is as Alpha. It's his throne,” Bodie said, shaking his head to himself. I nodded in agreement.

"But enough of that! Tell me more about your father! I've heard so many great stories about him!" Bodie exclaimed, shuffling closer to the metal bars.

I felt myself still a little. But I exhaled deeply and shook my head.

"He's dead. Rogues,” I said

Bodie looked a little shocked, but he quickly adjusted and nodded slowly. “I'm sorry about that.” "And I'm sorry your family are a bunch of pricks," I said.

This made Bodie laugh, and it brought a smile to my face. When I looked over at Mira, she was smiling and shaking her head as well.

I had to get them free from the dungeon.
