Chapter 5017 An Ancient Array

Austin stepped slowly through the white vortex. Even though he wasn't moving all that fast, it still wouldn't be too dangerous for him.

His body burned with the blazing sacred fire to help him fend of the cold wind whizzing around him.

Well protected, he steadily made his way through the depths of the vortex.

“According to my master, I will arrive at the Frigid Continent once I've passed through this passageway,"

Austin thought to himself.

There was no way to know how much time had gone by. Suddenly, Austin found a massive, sprawling continent appear before him.

The ground was covered in thick ice and more still was falling from the sky with no sign of stopping. This was a world of what seemed like nothing more than ice and snow!

"So this is it. I've reached the Frigid Continent!”

He could not contain his excitement.

He walked through the white vortex, one step a time, getting closer and closer to the continent of ice.

A while later, Austin had completely made his way through and arrived in front of the Frigid Continent.

He then landed slowly on it.

It was a vast, cold land covered on every inch with a thick sheet of ice.

He found the ice here as hard and solid as stone.

He stamped down hard and only managed to leave a deep pit in the ice, barely causing any serious disturbance.

With his current strength, he could have easily shattered an entire continent anywhere else.

He could destroy a star or a cosmos with a single punch.

And yet, on this Frigid Continent, he could leave nothing more than deep footprint after a vicious stomp!

This place was without a doubt terrifyingly solid.

"I can sense quite clearly that this place is fraught with danger.

I'd better head straight for my goal, look for the fruit of supreme enlightenment, and then get out of here as soon as possible,”

Austin said to himself, keeping his objectives clear.

He looked out into the distance, carefully examining the strange world he found himself in.

He then began moving onward, not wasting any more time than necessary.

He soon found this place contained very strange laws of heaven and earth.

Anyone who stepped into this continent would find their spiritual soul energy and physical strength greatly restrained

Austin even felt a powerful law covering the sky, making it difficult to fly here.

He was very uncomfortable.

"This is indeed a land of danger, no doubt about it!"

He decided it best to keep his guard up.

"Wow! There are a lot of treasures!"

He had walked only a little while when he already discovered many treasures from heaven and earth in this place.

Most of them were of ice nature.

There were many among them that Austin could not name at all.

"That tree has some fruits hanging on it. They appear somewhat special,”

Austin said out loud, staring into the distance ahead.

On the other side, stood a green tree, poking through the icy ground.

It stood out quite clearly in the white world of ice and snow surrounding it.

He noticed many fruits bulging on the tree.

They were completely green all over and gave off a pleasant fragrance.

He could tell at a glance that they were not ordinary and must be very precious.

Of course, he could not pass up the opportunity to get hold of such treasures.

He immediately strode towards the tall tree.

Before long, he was standing before it.

"There looks to be sixty fruits in total.

I suppose I'll pick them all.”

Austin stretched out his spiritual energy hand and picked all the fruits off the tree.

"Even I don't know what these are. They're really quite mysterious.

I'm sure master will recognize them if I take them back and show them to him,”

Austin remarked.

He continued walking forward to claim his prize.

He harvested a lot of other treasures along the way as well.

But to his surprise, he had not encountered any sort of danger since entering the Frigid Continent. The only nuisance was the extreme cold he had to endure.

Still, he continued on ahead.

A while later, as he walked on slowly, the ground beneath his feet began shuddering violently and black lights shot out from every direction. They beamed into the sky constantly, forming numerous arcs that covered a vast area of the land.

He was caught off guard and found himself surrounded by the black lights.

"Damn it! It's an array!" he cried out.

He had great knowledge of arrays and achieved a lot with them. It took only one look for him to realize he'd accidentally triggered an ancient array.

Austin activated his bodily movement skill, trying to rush out of the array, but it was already too late.

Boom!

An unending black mist surrounded Austin and trapped him in the middle.

The array had completely revealed itself and he was stuck within it.

Austin released the array energy, trying to break out of the encirclement he found himself in. Boom!

Powerful array energy constantly streamed out of his body as he charged off in one direction. Based on his knowledge of arrays, he felt that the direction he rushed should be its weakest point. But before he could get to the edge of it, another thunderous rumble came from the ground.

The floor began to crack and a black human-shaped creature like a towering mountain climbed out. His hand crushed the ground and ripped it apart and he stood on the broken ice fragments that floated in the sky, looking down on Austin.

A wave of terrible energy pressure released from the creature and swept towards Austin.

“What kind of monster is this?"

Austin was stunned. He'd never come across anything like that.

He could feel the terrifying combat power within the black creature in front of him.

The creature's combat power was at least on par with that of a god of chaos!

This was madness. He had only just come to this Frigid Continent and had already met an enemy equivalent to a god of chaos.

'Yeah, there's no doubt this is one of those infamous lands of danger!"

Austin thought with a bitter smile.

"Anyone who intrudes into this land must die!”

roared the black human-shaped creature before he marched toward Austin.

Boom!

The earth shook violently with the creature's every step.

The vibrations flowed through and gathered at the top of Austin's body, forming a tremendous amount of energy of vibration that collided with him.

"You bastard!

Show me how strong you are!"

Austin snarled coldly.

He waved his hand and produced a large amount of sacred fires from the Fire Bead. The fires then wrapped him completely.

However, at the same time, the black human-shaped creature darted over and pounced on him.
