When the three Lords of Darkness started to chase after them,

the fire source beast took Austin and rushed towards the Fiery Eye as fast as he could.

"Hal You guys aren't tired yet? Okay! Let me show you what I'm capable of in case you've forgotten!" the fire source beast snorted.

With a wave of his hand, another batch of fire walls surrounded the demon guards of darkness and attacked them.

When the demon guards of darkness had seen the three Lords of Darkness arrive, they had all felt a surge of relief and let down their guards.

They had believed that the arrival of the three Lord of Darkness meant that they were safe.

In their minds, defense wasn't needed anymore.

However, now there was a large number of fire walls coming at them out of nowhere. The energy pressure and burning power were unbearable.

Like a firework show, the bodies of dozens of demon guards of darkness started exploding, leaving their spiritual souls damaged. They screamed loudly.

"Yes. You are right. There will be more fires.

But with our combined strength, as long as we are careful, we won't be in danger,”

another Lord of Darkness said.

"Okay!

Then let's go after them before they escape for good!"

the third Lord of Darkness said.

Not a single one of the Lords of Darkness was a coward. The power behind the eight sacred fires might have been terrifying, but it was not fatal to them.

So they rushed into the flames without a glance backwards.

The entrance of the Fiery Eye was narrow and the second that they walked into it, sacred fires illuminated and gushed in front of their faces.

During the battle that had just happened, a lot of the sacred fire energy in the Eight Fires Valley had been consumed.

Normally, all the sacred fires that were found inside the Eight Fires Valley were produced by the Fiery Eye.

Therefore, when the amount of sacred fires in the Eight Fires Valley decreased, the Fiery Eye had to work extra hard to replenish it.

Meanwhile, the fire source beast was leading Austin into the depths of the Fiery Eye.

Soon, forks in the path popped up.

The fire source beast seemed to be very familiar with the environment and didn't pay attention to these strange forks.

Sacred fires roared on the surface of each fork and they all looked the same.

After running for a while, Austin discovered that he was lost.

If he had been alone, Austin would have never found his way back out of the Fiery Eye.

"Where are we going now?"

Austin couldn't help but ask.

"Well, the inside of the Fiery Eye is a complicated maze. I used to come here often and I'm familiar with some of the paths.

We're headed down one of them now.

Because the three Lords of Darkness haven't been inside here before, they will get lost fast.

Then they will try to find a way to get out,”

the fire source beast explained.

Hearing this, Austin felt a little worried.

Originally, he had assumed that the Fiery Eye was the lair of the fire source beast.

However, it seemed that he was wrong and the fire source beast was not that familiar with it.

'I have no idea what this Fiery Eye is. It makes so many sacred fires and the fires seem to be endless. I guess that's why the Eight Fires Valley exists. The Fiery Eye is a source of endless sacred fires for it," Austin thought.

Then, the fire source beast took Austin into a remote, secret room.

He closed the heavy door behind them.

"Okay. We're going to hide here for a while.

I don't think the three Lords of Darkness can find us,”

the fire source beast told Austin.

Breathing out a long sigh of relief, he lay down and began to relax.

Although he was powerful, he still felt the risk of facing the three Lords of Darkness.

He leaned back and replayed the scene in his mind. If the Lords of Darkness had been a little faster, there was a chance that Austin and the fire source beast wouldn't have been able to escape.

"Is it safe here?"

Austin asked in a slightly worried tone.

"Don't worry.

It's very safe here. I know this area the best.

They can't find us,”

the fire source beast reassured him with a smile.

As they hid, the three Lords of Darkness had advanced down the narrow passageway and reached the forks.

Each one would lead them in a different direction

and there were a lot of them to choose from.

The three Lords of Darkness were dumbfounded.

As a last ditch effort, they all released their spiritual senses to try and see what lay ahead

They had strong spiritual soul power, so they could perceive things that were far away.

However, they soon realized that the flames restricted their ability to perceive the pathways to a short distance.

So they tried their hardest,

but they couldn't see where Austin and the fire source beast had gone.

"What should we do? Which road should we take?

The forks turn it into a maze,”

one of the Lords of Darkness asked.

The other two had no answer for him.

The whole time they had been tracking their targets, they had been discovering that many of their secret cultivation methods couldn't be used while inside the Fiery Eye.

"I think we should split up.

Our chances of catching them would improve.

We'll just have to keep in touch so that we don't get lost,”

one of the Lords of Darkness suggested.

"Okay. That's a good idea!"

The other two Lords of Darkness nodded.

Then, they all activated their bodily movement skills and chose a fork to head down to begin hunting their targets.
