Chapter 5 Activate Visual Sense
Hearing Valentina’s words, Yves didn’t have much emotion on his face. He shook his head and said, “It’s normal for a father to react like that when he sees Ruby’s reaction. You have nothing to be

for. I’m still those words. I help you save people, and you send me back. We owe nothing to each other.”
Valentina looked at Yves and believed that he was an extraordinary being.
Lincoln had offered to him that he would give up all his property and rewarded him, but Yves refused.
It was a tremendous amount of wealth. She didn’t believe him to be an ordinary person who could refuse such wealth and say it was a fair deal.
However, she didn’t understand, since Yves was powerful, how could he get into that situation. Looking at the injuries on his body, Valentina asked in confusion, “Mr. Collins, are you sure you don’t have to go to the hospital to treat your wound? You seem to have a lot of wounds on your body.”
“No need,” Yves rejected expressionlessly.

Valentina hummed.
She helped Yves get out of the car and handed the white cane to him.
“Thank you,” Yves said.
“Mr. Collins!” Valentina exclaimed, “Do you have any contact number? I may need to find you again in the future.”
Yves shook his head as he said, “I don’t have a mobile phone. Just come to this inn if you want to find me.”
Valentina paused momentarily before saying, “Please wait a moment.”
She returned to the car, opened her bag, took out her new phone, handed it to Yves, and said, “This is my phone. I will contact you later!”
Then she took another credit card and said, “Mr. Gomez insists on giving you this card. You saved Ruby but didn’t take anything from him, and he feels bad about that. There is no limit on this card. You can spend it as you like across the country.”
Valentina stuffed the phone and card into Yves’s pocket. He accepted it and did not refuse.
After all, he still had a lot of things to deal with in Haven City. He would need money and mobile phones sooner or later.
“Then I’ll go up first!” He said.
The white cane kept moving on the ground, and then he slowly walked toward the inn.
Valentina and the bodyguard, who drove, stood and watched Yves disappear from the door of the inn. The bodyguard took a deep breath and said, “Miss, this guy seems capable!”
“Grandpa will not lie to me!” Valentina took a deep breath and said.
“Why didn’t you bring it up just now?” The bodyguard asked.
“We don’t even really know each other and had a conflict just now while treating Ruby. Even though he has no expression, he must be resentful inwardly. If I bring it up now, I will probably be rejected, Valentina said calmly.
The bodyguard frowned and asked, “What is your planning, then?”

It was the daughter of the owner of the inn, named Ashley Miller.
The owner and the landlady of the inn seemed to be doing other work during the day, so Ashley was usually there to help during the day.
The kind of small inn had been forgotten by society, and there was usually no business. Yves had stayed there for a few days. Ashley was kind, and when she saw that he was blind, she took good care of him. After that, they became familiar with each other.
Ashley helped Yves to his room. After he sat down on the chair, she said, “Let me find some medicine for you. You have a lot of wounds on your body!”
Yves smiled, “It’s okay. I’ll only need to take a rest.”

Yves nodded and said, “Yes, don’t worry! I want to sleep for a while.”

When the door closed, Yves sat cross–legged, with palms of his hands facing up. His thumbs pointed toward the middle fingers and pinched together, resting on his lap.
He smiled and murmured, “It is indeed inconvenient as a blind, but I am almost there to activate my visual sense. Unexpectedly, Ruby possessed a rare constitution, and I absorbed this peculiar power from her, it should be able to help me activate visual sense. All Seven Senses of mine will be activated after visual sense. Then, it can be considered that I have officially entered the late stage of the Awakening Stage.”
“Patrick and the Lewis family…” Yves muttered, slowly closing his eyes.
In an instant, a trace of coldness slowly rose from his body, converging toward his eyes tied with cloth.
