Evelyn remembered Henry’s words, “Tonight, I won’t let you off.” After dinner, she immediately hugged the newly bought laptop and retreated into her small room.

Henry stood at the door, leaning on his crutches, seemingly just having taken a shower. His jet–black hair was still dripping, presenting a temptation. 

Nervously, Evelyn looked down, only to realize that Henry wasn’t wearing any… 

Henry wasn’t wearing any sleepwear or shorts, only a towel wrapped around him. 

It was too tempting! 

Evelyn’s cheeks flushed unnaturally. “Why… why aren’t you wearing clothes?” 

“What do you think?” Henry had already circled around her, leaning in by her ear, his voice exuding allure. “Seeing my wife, wearing just a towel is already the highest level of courtesy.” 

“Evelyn?” Warm air brushed past Evelyn’s ear. 

Evelyn suddenly shrank, seemingly having imagined just how intense the man’s gaze could be. She dared not lift her head. 

“Um… I’ll go find a hairdryer and help you dry your hair. Sleeping with wet hair might cause a 

cold.”

“A hairdryer, no need.” Henry curled his l*ps. “After drying, it will sweat soon…”

“Quinn, you’re just too kind.” 

“you may know a person’s face but not his mind. Besides, you haven’t even met this Evelyn person. Why are you speaking up for her?” 

Evelyn couldn’t hear what the others were saying anymore.
