The Mystical White Wolf
THIRTYEIGHT-BATTLE PART TWO

Staci POV

"Father!" Magnus's voice yells out.

Solaris turned her head, growled, and jumped between Magnus and Abaddon.

"Staci!" I heard Antonio's voice through the link.

"I know what I'm doing."

"He wants me, so I highly doubt he will hurt me," I linked back as Ares let out a growl.

"Well, my beautiful bride."

"Come to save this worthless King of vampires and this pack of mutts," Abaddon cackled, making Solaris snarl and snap her canines. I watched as he stared at us intently. His red eyes glowed.

"I love your snow-white fur," Abaddon smirked as his fangs showed. Solaris snapped her teeth at his arrogance.

"Feisty, I like it," he clicked his tongue as his fangs extended.

"Come with me now, and I might spare your pack!" Abaddon said, holding his hand out.

Solaris's hackles raised as she growled at Abaddon.

"You think you can take me, wolf?" he cackled.

"You were destined to be mine from the very beginning."

"It's time you realized that your place is by my side as my Queen," Abaddon smiled.

I shifted back and quickly put on pants and a shirt. Antonio stayed in wolf form as the rest of the pack joined us. Only Abaddon and a few of his generals were left. The rogues were dead, and the Blood Moon pack wolves ran off in the chaos.

"I don't belong to you!"

"My place is at my mate's side, as the Luna to our pack," I said with determination.

Abaddon growled at me. His eyes glowed a fiery red, and he lunged for me. I quickly side-stepped him and raised my hand, and my air power knocked him back on the snow.

"ATTACK THEM!" Abaddon roared at his generals.

The generals didn't stand a chance as Ares, Spade, his Father, and Jackson ripped them apart. Blood splattered on the snow and bushes nearby.

"How dare you!" Abaddon roared as I used air to knock him around on the snow and against the tree.

"How dare I? You killed an innocent girl because of your sick obsession with power and greed," I growled and flicked my wrist as vines sprouted and grabbed his arms.

Magnus walked forward and unsheathed his sword. Abaddon growled as Magnus raised his sword and cut off Abaddon's right arm. Blood splattered on the ground as Abaddon screamed a blood-curdling scream.

"Fuck you!" Abaddon roared.

Magus raised his sword again and cut off his left arm. Sorina stepped forward as Magnus handed her a blade from the holster on his hip.

"This... is for all the pain you've caused me," Sorina said and plunged the knife into Abaddon's stomach.

Sorina plunged the blade into Abaddon a few more times as blood spilled on the ground, and he gasped. Sorina was careful not to aim for his heart so Abaddon could watch his final moments.

"He's all yours," Sorina said, looking back at me.

I flicked my wrist as vines grabbed Abaddon's feet and hung him upside down. Blood spilled from his wounds and on the snow as he growled lowly and was losing consciousness.

"You've caused so much pain and destruction in people's lives."

"Now it's time for you to feel pain," I said and felt Solaris's strength course through me.

I raised my hand as the snow floated in the air and morphed into shapes. A sword formed from the moisture as it floated into my hand.

"I should've been the one," Abaddon panted out.

"Not in this lifetime or any other," I said, swinging the sword.

Abaddon's eyes widened. I swiftly cut Abaddon's head off as it dropped to the snow with a thud, and blood poured to the ground. The sword dissolved in my hands. As the vines dropped Abaddon's body, I threw a fireball at his corpse.

Flames engulfed him as I kicked his head into the fire. I turned and ran my fingers through my hair as if a weight had been lifted off my heart and shoulders.

"Well done, my love," Antonio says as he walks up behind me and embraces me.

I turned in my mate's arms and kissed his lips passionately, glad that this nightmare was over, and he couldn't haunt my dreams anymore.

Antonio POV

"We should clean this up," I said after Staci and I pulled apart and stared into each other's eyes.

We pulled away from each other as we started cleaning up the dead bodies of the vampires, rogues, and the Blood Moon wolves. I saw Carter and Marcelo running toward us in wolf form. Carter, Marcelo, and the rest went behind some trees and shifted.

"Report," I said.

Carter looked distant for a second before his golden eyes looked at me.

"We lost twenty warriors," Cater said and lowered his head. I patted his shoulder and sighed.

"Arrange the funerals for our fallen," I said as he nodded.

Once we had the bodies cleaned up and put into piles. Staci raised her hands as fireballs formed, and she threw them at the piles. I watched with amazement as the flames engulfed the bodies. Staci flicked her wrist, and a wall of ice formed, keeping the fire within the circle so the bodies could burn. Staci turned to me and wrapped her arms around my waist.

"I'm so sorry about your Uncle, baby," she sniffled as I felt her tears on my chest.

Ares whimpered and howled in my head. I held her close to my body and silently cried for my Uncle, primarily for my Aunt Alicia. A few minutes later, my Father approached us carrying my Uncle's body. I quickly wiped my eyes and looked at Father.

He laid his body on the ground as I looked. He closed his hands over his stomach and closed his eyes. I heard my Father sigh.

"Your Mother, Grandmother, and Aunt are on the way," he said, and I nodded as he stood up.

Magnus walked over a few minutes later and said he would report to the vampire council about today's events and his Father's death. I gave Magnus my deepest condolences and thanked him for his help.

Magnus and I shook hands. He called for his army as they disappeared into the forest. I heard footsteps crunching under the snow and sighed as three familiar scents invaded my nose.

"Ricardo!" Aunt Alicia sobbed as she dropped to the snow on her knees.

My Aunt ran her fingers through his curly hair and sobbed as her head lay on his chest. My Father was comforting my Mother, and my Grandmother covered her face with her hands.

"A Deusa, cuida dele e protege seu espírito," (Goddess, watch over him and protect his spirit). I heard my Grandmother whisper.

"I love you, Ricardo," my Aunt whispered as she kissed his forehead.

I watched Aunt Alicia remove my Uncle's wedding ring and slide it on her thumb. Ares was whimpering inside my head as I held Staci closer and kissed the top of her head.

I'll see you again, my darling," Aunt Alicia whispered as warriors slowly walked over to collect my Uncle's body.

"Alpha," Carter's voice filled my head as we walked toward the castle.

"Yes, Carter?" I replied in the link.

"The pack members have been released."

"The families of the fallen warriors have been notified about funeral arrangements," Carter said.

"Thanks, Carter. We are heading inside," I said, closing the link as we entered the castle.

Marcelo, Lucas, Tiago, and Rafael entered the castle behind us as we walked toward the elevator and entered. My Mother and Grandmother were consoling my Aunt as the doors closed and the elevator ascended to our designated floor.

I had already linked Juliano and the girls to our office to talk about the battle and what to do about the Blood Moon pack. When the elevator stopped on the fourth floor. Everyone exited and headed toward our office.

Once I opened the door and walked inside, Monica and Marcie sat on the couch by Staci's desk, and Carter and Juliano sat before my desk. The girls gasped as they got up, rushed toward Staci, and hugged her.

"Ace," Staci said, holding our son tightly.

"Thank you for keeping him safe," Staci told the girls as they nodded.

I walked over to my desk, Staci beside me. I took a seat, and Staci sat at hers. Before Marcelo could close the door, the elevator dinged, and the doors opened. By the scents coming down the hall, I knew it was Seth and his Beta Cole. They entered the office and sat on one of the couches as Marcelo closed the door.

"Where are your warriors?" I asked Seth.

"Sent them back to Crescent Moon," he said, waving to his sister.

"Alright, the first order of business," I boomed as everyone listened.

I let everyone know that we got the bodies cleaned up and burned. Everyone sent their condolences to my Aunt Alicia, and we planned for my Uncle's funeral for next Saturday.

"Alright, do we know what to do about the Blood Moon pack?" I asked as everyone was silent.

"Their Alpha is dead, right?" Cole asked as I nodded.

"What about the Beta?" Seth asked.

"I didn't see him among the Blood Moon warriors that we burned, so it's more than likely he fled with the others or wasn't here," I say as everyone nods.

"I want to kick their ass for helping a bloodsucker try to kidnap my sister," Seth said.

"I second that," Cole says.

After that, everyone wanted to take down the Blood Moon pack. We agreed that after Uncle Ricardo's funeral on Saturday, we would address their pack and make them pay.

"You can stay with us, Alicia," Mom said, helping Alicia to their house as Dad and my Grandmother followed.

At this point, I knew my Aunt was inconsolable, and her wolf closed herself off to anyone. Ares tried to talk to Aria, but she had a block up and wouldn't talk to anyone.

Seth and Cole prepared to leave as they said their goodbyes and told us they would see us Saturday. Everyone exited the office as Staci and I headed up to our bedroom. Staci fed Ace while I went to shower.

While in the shower, I finally broke down and cried for my Uncle. I was strong, but he was my family, and I would miss him dearly. I felt small hands rub my chest and soft petal lips kiss my back. Staci wrapped her arms around me and consoled me and my heartbroken wolf.

"You're so strong, baby," Staci said as the warm water cascaded down our bodies.

I turned around, grabbed Staci's face, and kissed her lips with need. It wasn't a lustful kind of kiss. It was a kiss filled with love, appreciation, and happiness. After I released Staci's lips and looked into her eyes, she nodded in understanding.

We finished our shower and got ready for bed. Ace was in his bassinet, fast asleep. Staci and I climbed into a bed as I held her close, and we drifted off to dreamland.
