One Week Later: The Dream

Staci POV

"Hello? Solaris?" I called out. I had been in this void since I passed out.

I don't know how many days it's been or where my wolf is. I feel so alone. I walked in the endless nothing for a while.

"Solaris, where are you?" I called again.

"Hello dear," the melody voice said, making me jump.

"Solaris?" I called out.

"Staci, as a white wolf, you possess the powers of the elements: earth, water, fire, and air. Because you lack training, you passed out," Selene says as my eyes widen.

"The dizzy spells and weird dreams you were having were the signs of your powers awakening."

"The elements won't be your only powers, but I can't explain the others to you."

"There's a reason you were born a white wolf, and I will explain it to you," Selene says.

I can feel my emotions and mind being all over the place as this information sinks in. I run my fingers through my hair and try taking deep breaths.

I learned that Godric was the pack's Alpha, along with his Beta Garrett and Gamma Clint. Everyone in the pack was a white wolf. Some possessed different powers, but Godric could control all four elements like me.

Selene continued her story about how the white wolves and another pack killed the hunters and their leader: the vampire leader and most of their fellow undead. But what shocked me the most was that Selene mentioned that one of the vampires survived and kidnapped Godric's daughter, killed the whole pack, but later killed her. Selene didn't say why, which made me shiver.

"This vampire is a menace and needs to be stopped."

"That's why you need to start training," Selene says.

"Staci?"

"Hold on, my love," I heard Antonio's deep accented voice and heavy footfalls.

I blinked my eyes a few times as they adjusted to the dimly lit room and groaned from my body being stiff from laying in the bed.

"I heard the Luna was awake," the doctor said and sat on a stool.

The doctor did a quick examination and checked my vitals. Everything indicated I was perfectly healthy and suffered no significant injuries.

"You can return to your normal Luna duties tomorrow. But if you have any headaches or feel dizzy, come back in," the doctor said and exited the room.

Antonio looked at me and smiled. He stood up, stretched his limbs, and grabbed my bag from the floor. He held his hand out to me, and I graciously took it as we exited the room and walked toward the front.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"You'll see," Antonio said as we entered the elevator and descended a floor.

When Staci and I exited the elevator, everyone was waiting outside the conference room doors as we approached. Everyone came running and bombarded my mate with hugs and questions.

"Well, the moon goddess told me I can control the four elements and have additional powers," Staci told the other elders.

I watched the other elders whisper amongst themselves. I could tell they were discussing the outcomes and possible future this might hold for our pack and others. Staci also mentioned what the moon goddess told her in her dream.

"My child, do you realize how valuable you are? Alpha Godric was the only white wolf I heard that could control the four elements."

"He, too, possessed the power of foresight," elder Thomas said as the room gasped.

I watched as Staci's eyes widened at hearing Elder Thomas reveal some information to her. Elder Thomas proceeded to tell Staci the version of his story. It was true each wolf in Godric's pack possessed a different power. Some were healers, while others could control one of the elements. The part about the vampire was genuine also, and like the goddess told Staci, they didn't know what his intentions were with Godric's daughter or why he had the entire pack slaughtered in a single night.

"The good news is there are still two white wolves alive, one with Beta blood and one with Gamma blood."

"They're much older than your Luna," elder Thomas says, looking at us.

"I understand your Luna passed out from her lack of training," Elder Ford said.

"Does her parents not know she has gifts?" elder Gerard asks.

We all look at each other and then at Staci, who shrugs her shoulders. I could tell Staci I had no clue that her parents had an inkling of how special their daughter was and what she could accomplish.

"Well, now that we know what we are up against, we will ask the Beta and Gamma to come and train your Luna."

"We need to be prepared for all the outcomes," elder Thomas says.

"Expect James and Todd in a few weeks," elder Thomas says as they leave the conference room.
