An airship neared the remains of the town of Rosefall, a rose pattern adorned the airship, with the name 'Wild Rose II" written along the side. The ship slowly came in to land on the outskirks of town.

On the bridge of the airship, Roisin sighed as she looked at the charred sunken ruins of the once beautiful town. Ashe put her hand on Roisin shoulder and smiled slightly.

"We'll rebuild it even better than it was before" Ashe nodded.

"I won't be here to see it though, will I?" Roisin frowned.

"Don't be so sure of that" Ashe hugged Roisin. "We're gonna save you, you can't escape me that easily" She nodded. Roisin smiled slightly.

"Remember when we first met?" Roisin asked.

"Vividly" Ashe chuckled. "Wynd was not happy with the mess we made" She shrugged as Roisin laughed.

"Sorry for getting you pulled back a year" Roisin smirked.

"No you're not" Ashe winked. "I'm not either, I would have never gotten to know you, and by extension, Ariel" She added.

"Hmm, now you say it like that..." Roisin smiled. The door to the bridge opened and Dex and Ariel walked in.

"You two ready, or need more girl time?" Ariel smirked.

"Funny" Roisin chuckled. "I was just about to come ask you two the same thing" She shrugged.

"Hey, rude!" Dex smiled.

"This reminds me of the old days, back when we were making our way to Pyre" Ashe smiled.

"Yeah, it's been a while since it was just us four" Dex nodded. "Well, longer for the rest of you, because of the whole 'dying' thing" He shrugged.

"Oddly, it doesn't really feel like 9 years ago" Roisin said as she climbed out of the pilot's seat. "I guess we've never really had any downtime. We've constantly been on the go, on the move... for nine whole years" She sighed.

"We can rest once thi..." Ashe began.

"Yeah" Roisin muttered, before heading out of the door. Ashe cringed as she looked at Dex and Ariel.

"Nice going Ashe..." Ariel sighed.

"I didn't mean to" Ashe frowned.

"Don't sweat it too much Ashe, she knows" Dex smiled, as he headed out after Roisin.

"Dex is right, Roisin knows that you love her" Ariel nodded. "She also knows you don't think before you speak" She teased. Ashe sighed and walked over to Ariel and hugged her.

"We gotta find a way..." Ashe frowned.

"We will" Ariel nodded. "Come on, let's head out" She added, as she turned to the door and left. Ashe nodded and sighed, before heading out through the cargo hold.

As Ashe headed outside, she watched as Roisin headed to the centre of town, she watched as Roisin repeated the process to unleash the penultimate Crystalla, signalling that the end was growing ever closer. The bright light engulfed the town in what had seemed to become a routine occurrence.

The clouds cleared, and everyone watched as the light faded, revealing whose soul had been bonded with the Earth Crystalla.

"Logan?!" Roisin's eyes widened as her long dead friend looked back.

"Uh... this isn't Raryst" Logan shrugged. "Also, why do all you guys look like 20 odd all of a sudden?" He added.

"Because we are" Ariel smiled.

"Except me, I'm like you" Dex laughed.

"Uh... is this Rosefall?" Logan asked, as he looked around at the ruined town.

"It's a long story, but yeah" Roisin smiled, suddenly Ruby the dragon came flying over.

"Hey guys! You told me you'd wake me up when we got here!" She mewed angrily. Roisin held her arm out for Ruby to land on and got a treat from her pocket.

"Sorry Rubes, I... kinda threw a tantrum" Roisin sighed.

"It's okay, I'll take some treats as payment" Ruby chuckled, as Logan stared in amazement.

"Is that a dragon?" Logan asked, with his eyes wide.

"Dragonet, actually" Dex shrugged. "She's called Ruby" He added.

"Hello" Ruby smiled.

"Uhhh, hey..." Logan smiled as he rubbed the back of his head. The five carried on chatting as the sky slowly grew lighter, finally the Eastern Continent was no longer shrouded in darkness as only two final Crystalla remained.

Light and Dark.
