Chapter 574 Casey's Disappearance

When Eleanor noticed that Philip was still concerned about whether Casey would answer the phone or not, she became increasingly panicked. She tried to appear nonchalant and smiled. "Maybe she's just sleeping in. It's not uncommon for young people to sleep in, you know?"

"No, that's not right. I know Casey very well. She doesn't have the habit of sleeping in. She hasn't slept in since graduating from university."

Philip began to sense that something was amiss and wanted to go to Casey's rented place to check on her.

Eleanor saw him getting up to leave and called out, "Dear, wait for me. Let's take Peter to school together, and then, I'll go with you to check on her."

"No need. She'll get angry if she sees you. It's better if you don't see each other." Then, Philip left without looking back, not giving Eleanor a chance to speak.

As Eleanor watched him leave, a sinister smile appeared on her face. Go and find her if you want. You would never expect your precious daughter to be locked up in your own basement.

After Peter finished breakfast, the driver sent him to school.

Eleanor avoided everyone, brought food and drinks to the basement, and threw them in through the small window.

Hearing the noise, Casey immediately stood up and looked over to see Eleanor's detestable face.

"Eleanor! Let me out! Why are you keeping me locked up here? This is false imprisonment!"

"Who can prove it? Has anyone seen this place? I'll let you out after some time has passed. I'll just say that you went in by yourself." Eleanor's attitude was extremely arrogant.

Casey was about to explode with anger. She had slept the whole night in this basement, and now Eleanor was throwing food and drinks in. Did she intend to keep her here for a long time? "I'm asking you, why are you keeping me locked up here? Do you want to kill me?"

"How is that possible? I still want to enjoy wealth and luxury. I don't want to be a murderer. I'll tell you. since you're so curious. I plan to keep you here for a while until we transfer the shares under your name. Then, you may leave. You'll only cause trouble for us outside anyway. These foods and drinks should last you two or three days. I won't come to see you during this time. After saying that, Eleanor turned and left.

"You wicked woman! Come back here! Let me out!" No matter how she cursed, Eleanor did not come back, nor did she let her out.

She seemed determined to transfer the shares under Casey's name, but Casey couldn't just sit here and wait for death. How could she escape? She had tried to think of a way the whole night.

On the other side, Philip knocked on the door of Casey's rented house for a long time, but no one answered.

"What's going on? Did she not come back last night?"

He couldn't reach her by phone, and she wasn't at home. What was happening? Was she missing?

He became anxious and started calling Casey's friends, but he couldn't find her after calling around.

Just as he was about to turn around and leave, he ran into Symeon, who came looking for Casey again. The two looked at each other, but Symeon ignored him and went to knock on the door. Then, Philip spoke up, "Are you looking for my daughter, Casey? She's not home. Who are you?"

Did she have a boyfriend? Philip wondered.

"She hasn't come back yet? Where did she go? I can't reach her by phone."

This caught Philip off guard and he frowned. "Why are you asking me? I wanted to ask you the same thing. Are you my daughter's boyfriend? Where did she go? She didn't come home all night, and I can't reach her by phone."

"No. I'm her friend." After saying that, Symeon turned to leave.

Philip wanted to ask more, but Symeon had walked away quickly. He couldn't help but sigh. "Young people sure have good stamina. They disappear in a few steps with such long legs."

After Symeon returned to his car, he began to ponder.

Where did Casey go? How could she disappear for a whole night? Her phone's also turned off. Was that her irresponsible father just now? He came to look for her in person. It seems that he really couldn't find her.

After thinking for a while, he dialed Amanda's phone. After all, she was Casey's defense lawyer, so it was possible that they had been in contact.

After a while, the call was connected, but Elias' cold voice came through unexpectedly. "Why are you. calling my wife?"

"Give her the phone. I have something to ask her."

"It's the same if you ask me. I know all of her things."

Symeon was speechless. I'm going to say it again. Give her the phone. Casey is missing"

On the other end of the phone, Elias fell silent for a few seconds before handing the phone to Amanda, who couldn't help but ask, "What did you say? Casey is missing?"

"Yes. Did she contact you yesterday?"

"Yes. She did. She said her father and stepmother came to look for her and asked me what to do. I told her not to see them again, but she said she wanted to go back as soon as possible to collect evidence fo a DNA test. Could she have gone home?"

"That's impossible. When I went to look for her just now, I happened to meet her father at the door. He was also looking for her."

That's strange. Where could she have gone?"

"Her phone is turned off, so I suspect she might have been kidnapped by her stepmother."

"Alright. Let's go to the Carter Family together and look for her. We'll know if she has anything to do with

Casey's disappearance once we see her."

"Okay."

After hanging up the phone, Symeon couldn't help but feel nervous because he felt that Casey's disappearance might not be that simple.. This definitely wasn't just a voluntary disappearance. Even if Casey didn't care about anything, she would want to take Dulcie with her. Clearly, she had been imprisoned by someone else.

On the other side at the Winters Estate, Amanda hung up the phone and planned to change her clothes before going out with Symeon to look for Casey.

However, Elias, who was beside her, appeared slightly displeased. "Are you going to leave just like this? Aren't you going to explain to your beloved husband?"

Amanda paused for a moment before approaching him with a smile and embracing his tall figure. "Darling, can't you be more understanding? Casey's missing, and the situation is extremely dangerous. The consequences would be unimaginable if she encountered bad people."

Elias enveloped her slender frame and grumbled, "I won't let it slide if I discover any inappropriate behavior between you and Symeon."

"Oh, come on! You are so attractive that it sparks envy in others! How could I be interested in anyone. else?"

He seemed to believe her words and let out an affectionate smile. Then, he leaned down and kissed her earlobe. "Go and come back as soon."
