3 Months later.

When Jericho had told me he had left me something, I had no idea he was talking about his son.

I spent the last 24 hours in labor and Erik helped me the whole way. Jericho often called me an angel, but I like to think Erik is an angel too. Or maybe a grandfather…

I look down at my sweet baby boy. He is the spitting image of Jericho. He has those beautiful blue eyes that sparkle like sapphires and midnight black hair.

My baby latched on to my breast greedily, and I chuckle down at him. Just like his father, I think to myself.

I miss him…

It hasn't been easy without him, but every once in a while, in the shadows, I swear I can see Rico watching me, looking out for us. Like he has always been with us, protecting me.

I decided that is what I want to call my baby. “Rico Shadow,” I whisper, hoping Jericho can here me.

I feel a soft whisper of a kiss on my cheek. It sent shivers down my spine.

I look around expecting him just to show up, because now I am positive he is with me somehow. I feel his love and approval of our son’s name.

“I love you, Jericho,” I whisper, as I watch our baby nurse himself into a coma.

A sudden light shines in front of us.

I know I really should be shocked to see him... Unless I have finally gone crazy, which isn't completely off the table.

“I will always be here, my love. I will never leave you and Rico. I promise,” he says. He is beautiful.

“I miss you so much,” I choke out.

I don’t know if it’s the hormones or what, but suddenly I am sobbing.

Jericho places a whisper soft kiss on my brow, and places his hand over my heart and I feel all the love he has for me and a promise. A promise that I will l be with him again.

“I will be waiting for you Heidi, but please, don’t hurry. You are finally completely healed from the poison in your body. I want you to live a full and happy life, now.Take care of our son. Tell him about me…’

And then he was gone.

I look down in my arms, at the sleeping babe in my arms… The Last Dragon Prince.
