The Innocent Wife of Scheming President
Chapter 517: Unreasonably Making Troubles

Norton made the arrangement as she wasn't yet familiar with hotel business, but it was a hindrance for her next plan.

But, she couldn't show the slightest dissatisfaction. At first, she was pretending to be humble. Before things were fully controlled, she couldn't take off her mask so quickly.

But, how could she seize the real power from Olive as soon as possible and without a trace? What a headache.

The sound of a car's abrupt stop interrupted her thought and it also made Olive halted on her tracks.

Olive watched Mrs. Hoyle get out of the car fuming, pointing at her nurse and cursing. She had long lost her former elegance. Her so-called nobleness disappeared, shouting like a shrew.

"Olive Steele, what is the meaning of this? Going back on your own words, huh?”

"Mrs. Hoyle, is there any misunderstandings?” Norton was lost at how this old lady from the Hoyle couldn't like Olive, who was a good kid. She kept finding faults. With her old age, she should enjoy a happy and leisurely old age, enjoy many things in this world, but she caused so many troubles. Wasn't she tired?

“Misunderstanding?” Mrs. Hoyle sneered. “Ask her what she promised me. But she turns back from her words.”

"Olive, this is...?" Susan asked on purpose. She actually knew the person in front of her. How could she not look into her opponent before acting? She was just completing her acting.

“My mother-in-law,” Olive answered, then walked to Mrs. Hoyle. “Mother, what did I do? I don't understand a bit."

"Don't call me mother,” Mrs. Hoyle yelled.

Norton frowned. Susan’s mouth curled up silently beside him.

Olive wasn't annoyed either, but smiled, “Since I've called you that, I won't change. Mother, or should we talk slowly in my office? I'm afraid you'll get heatstroke from standing under the sun for a long time. Come, I'll hold you.”

But Mrs. Hoyle wasn't grateful. She yanked off Olive’s hand that just held her arm. “Go to your office, so that you can continue to fool me?”

“Mrs. Hoyle, if you're willing to bask under the sun here, then continue. What does Olive fool you?” Norton secretly sighed for Alan Hoyle. How could there be such close-minded mother?

"Ask her. What did she promise me in Jiangcheng?” Mrs. Hoyle stared straight at Olive, as if digging a hole in her brain to see.

Norton secretly felt things look bad. He stared at the person who was concerned, “Girl, you're not planning to secretly leave Alan Hoyle, right?”

“Impossible,” Olive smiled honestly. She was a smart woman and understood at once at the mentioning, “Mother, are you talking about the child?”

"Yes. It's about the child.” Mrs. Hoyle stopped beating around the bush already and went straight to the subject. “You can directly say it if you don’t want to give this child to the Hoyle. It's fun fooling me, huh?”

“Fooling you? When did I do that?” Olive wondered. It couldn't be that the old lady was hallucinating now, right?

"Girl, are you planning to change Annie's last name?” Norton interjected. He had ever met the little girl—clever and lovable. Olive had worked hard raising this child. It would be too easy for the old lady if she let Mrs. Hoyle bring into the Hoyle.

Olive touched her belly, “No, it's the one in my belly.”

Susan was slightly surprised, “Olive, are you pregnant?”

Olive nodded, her face softened.

Norton was elated, “No wonder that Alan boy is so impatient in wanting to take the burden off you. So this is why.”

Susan immediately asked, “How many months already? But I can't tell at all.”

Olive smiled, “It's only been two months, of course you can't tell it.”

Mrs. Hoyle felt that both father and daughter was in tune to change the subject. She opened the car door and got in, commanding, “Get in the car.”

Norton was a little worried, “Do you want me to go with you?”

Olive shook her head and lightly patted her belly. “No need. I have this amulet, so I'm not afraid.” “Then I'll contact your family?” Norton felt that this old lady was being so aggressive that only Alan could control her.

“There's also no need. Don't worry, Uncle Norton. It's not so terrifying.” Olive leaned toward Norton and whispered to his ear, “The old lady has fallen in love with the little grandson in my belly.” Otherwise, how could she come here criticizing like this in such an anxious manner?

Although she didn't know exactly what happened, at least she could see that the old lady was nervous about the child in her belly.

This was a good thing. It was better than being indifferent.

Once Olive got into the car, she asked the driver to drive to Hengdu.

"What for? Do you want to find a protection? No, turn around,” Mrs. Hoyle ordered the drive to drive to the opposite direction.

The drive was confused for a while and didn’t know where to go, so he stopped in the middle of the road. He would drive after the dispute between the women clear up.

Olive sighed helplessly, “Mother, you can't keep guessing yourself. It's getting late now. When we reach Alan, it's time for dinner. You've come all the way to here and let us treat you a nice meal. We can slowly talk later, okay? You can rest assured. This child is mine and also yours. He can’t run.” "You're really not lying to me?” Mrs. Hoyle was still suspicious.

"Although I have nothing to make you believe me now, this matter isn't a joke.” Olive raised her hand and seriously swore.

“But your family is against it.” If it was in the past, it would be a piece of cake for the Hoyle to take the child, but now that Alan was on their side, the old lady wasn't sure.

It suddenly dawned on Olive. “Mother, you went to my house?!”

No wonder.

She bet that Chloe had to be avenging for her again. As for her parents, it wasn't their real intention to disagree, but they just complained for their daughter. She could understand their hearts.

Alan was completely caught off guard seeing Olive and his mother walked into his office arm in arm. He was dumbfounded at the two women who suddenly became close and looked at them suspiciously. His fingers which were dancing on the keyboard stopped in mid-air.

“You guys..."

Olive beamed a smile, “What's wrong? You become stupid after seeing mom and me are good?” Yet Mrs. Hoyle didn't care about her and shook off Olive’s hand. “Who is good with you?”

Olive looked fine and automatically ignored her expression. She said to Alan, “Can you get off work now? A new restaurant just opened nearby the Huahai Road. Chloe said it's not bad. Should we bring mom to eat there?”
