Chapter 9:The Spoil Prince

Jackie completed her conversation with Anne, and promptly reached out to King Henry.

“That was fast. I did not think I will hear from you right away,” King Henry replied.

Jackie then informed him that Anne had agreed to let him see Elizabeth but did not want to see him. She also warned him not to ask Elizabeth about Anne and to keep Jane away from Elizabeth.

“I understand. I won’t interrogate Elizabeth regarding Anne. I will not let Jane anywhere near Elizabeth,” King Henry agreed.

King Henry and Jane have a six-year-old son named Prince Edward. However, Prince Edward is quite spoiled. Jane refrains from reprimanding him because she fears angering King Henry. Prince Edward does not get along with Princess Mary and often refers to her as an evil witch. Jane attempts to correct his behavior, but he ignores her. Eventually, King Henry takes Prince Edward to visit his sister Elizabeth in Mississippi, and they develop a loving relationship.

Prince Edward and Elizabeth made a mutual decision to correspond with one another. King Henry encounters his nephew Steve, unaware that Jessica is his own niece. Jackie is hesitant for King Henry to meet Jessica, fearing that he will discover their familial relationship. King Henry is acquainted with John Peterson from their shared time at boarding school. Additionally, King Henry was close friends with Alex Dashwood, Kate’s late husband who tragically lost his life while serving in the military.

Anne is set to marry a man named Jack Sullivan. Jack is employed at the same law firm as Paul. Anne, Paul, and Nancy’s parents are currently talking to them because they want to meet their grandchildren. Elizabeth greatly admires Jack and believes he would be a great match for her mother. Elizabeth is aware that her mother has been unhappy for a long time and wants her to find happiness. Elizabeth is not interested in meeting her stepmother because Catherine has spoken negatively about her, claiming that she stole her father from her mother.

Elizabeth genuinely wishes the best for Jane and her dad, and hopes that they have a blissful marriage. However, due to personal reasons, she cannot befriend a woman who was involved in her parents’ divorce. Furthermore, Elizabeth is well aware of the fact that Princess Mary holds a grudge against her. This revelation came to light when Prince Edward revealed that Mary had been talking negatively about her.

A month later, Anne and Jack tied the knot. She is delighted that her parents are communicating with her and her siblings, allowing her father to walk her down the aisle. Jackie and Nancy served as her bridesmaids, while Elizabeth and Jessica took on the role of flower girls. For their honeymoon, Anne and Jack have decided to go to New York. Coincidentally, King Henry will also be in New York for business, and Anne agrees to let Elizabeth stay with him during their honeymoon. King Henry pampers Elizabeth, and Anne doesn’t intervene because she is pleased that Elizabeth has a relationship with her father.

Anne doesn’t think it’s a good idea for Elizabeth to be friends with Jane. However, if Elizabeth wants to have a relationship with her brother Prince Edward, Anne doesn’t mind. Anne doesn’t hold Prince Edward responsible for his mother’s actions.
