Chapter 16: A Good Story

Molly Green, a British journalist, is in search of an intriguing news story. Known for her lack of concern for the consequences of her articles, Molly is disliked by many. Her current focus is on uncovering any hidden scandals involving King Henry. However, it seems that King Henry has already shared his life story openly on television, leaving no secrets to be discovered. Molly then considers investigating Princess Jackie, as she has heard rumors of King Henry’s anger towards her for marrying Paul Brooks. It is said that King Henry even went through a period of not speaking to Princess Jackie.

Molly has been feeling curious lately, wondering if there are any secrets she might be unaware of. She remembers Princess Jackie and her husband Paul Brooks move to Mississippi, which is a place that holds many mysteries and hidden stories. Recently, she also heard rumors about Princess Jackie’s baby, which is said to have died at birth. However, there was no announcement of a funeral, and no death certificate was issued for the baby. This has piqued Molly’s interest, and she feels like investigating this matter further to uncover the truth behind what happened to the baby.

Sandy Brown is going through a tough time. She works hard as a nurse, but her landlord is really rude and the apartment she shares with her children needs a lot of repairs. Unfortunately, her landlord is unwilling to fix anything, which makes things even more difficult. Sandy has been dreaming of moving her family into a nice neighborhood, but it seems like an impossible goal with all the bills she has to pay. She’s been trying to save up for a house, but it’s tough to make progress with so many expenses. She feels stuck and doesn’t know what to do.

Molly has just arrived in Mississippi and it’s cold and rainy. She’s thinking about going to the hospital where Princess Jackie’s baby was born. When she arrives at the hospital, she sees a nurse who looks like she’s having car problems. Being the kind person she is, Molly approaches the nurse and asks if she can help. “My car won’t start and I have to pick up my kids from school in an hour,” the nurse, Sandy, replies.

Molly quickly offers her assistance, telling Sandy that her dad is a mechanic and she’s learned a lot from him. After taking a look at Sandy’s car, Molly is able to get it started again.

“Thank you so much. My name is Sandy Brown and what is your name?” Sandy asks.

“I’m Molly Green, a journalist, and I’m inquiring about Jackie Brooks. I’m interested in gathering details about her deceased newborn. I’m willing to offer a substantial sum of money in exchange for information,” Molly responded.

Sandy, who is in need of money to purchase a home for herself and her children, sees this as an opportunity. Sandy agrees to provide information about Jackie’s baby, but only after she receives her own house. Molly agrees to fulfill Sandy’s request and buy her a house.

A month later, Molly provided Sandy with a house. The house is spacious and has a large yard on both sides. Sandy explained that Jackie Brooks’ baby did not pass away, but was diagnosed with cerebral palsy during an ultrasound. Jackie did not want to raise a disabled child, so the baby was given to Jackie’s sister-in-law Nancy Lewis. Nancy presented the baby as her own daughter Anne’s twin sister. Molly inquired about the baby’s name, to which Sandy responded, “Jessica Lewis.” Sandy then asked Molly if she planned on telling anyone where she got this information.

“No, I am not going to tell anyone where I got this information,” Molly assures Sandy.

“Thank you,” Sandy replied.

Molly could not believe her luck in finding this story. It had the potential to help her career and land her a better job. She was eager to start writing and get it out there.

Sandy couldn’t help but worry about Jessica, though. She needed the money, and she hoped this story wouldn’t cause any harm to her.
