As she was thinking of this, her nails were embedded into the palms, leaving deep marks. Then she looked coldly at the corner where Meredith was.

Shortly after Derek got contacted with the people outside, the repairmen arrived. They couldn't afford to keep Derek being trapped in the elevator for so long, for they could be punished for that. So, not long after, the elevator was good again.
