The black-clad man then asked, "What should we do, Mr. Lionheart?"

"Stay calm," Titus replied. "Just find out what he came back for, and tell my father about this-warn him to be careful." "Understood." The black-clad man nodded and disappeared with a puff of black smoke.

"The Lord of the Southern Woods..."

Titus then murmured to himself, "Don't tell me he's dying soon? But it isn't the time for that yet..."

Meanwhile, at Turnbull Estate, Vicky regained consciousness around noon, and Frank was checking on her facial injuries.

It went without saying that his medicinal paste was highly effective, as the cuts on Vicky's face were already scabbing. At that rate, she would make a full recovery in this. "Frank, do you think I'd have to live with this?" Vicky asked as she kept looking at herself in the mirror.

Though she sounded relaxed, Frank could see the hint of worry in her eyes. "Maybe."

Vicky flinched right then and turned to find his sly grin.

"Hmph!" She snorted, throwing a punch at him as she realized he was toying with her.

"Come on, relax. Do you still doubt my abilities in medicine?" Frank chuckled. "Not only would there be no scars, but your skin would actually improve."

"Hmm... It's not like I don't trust you," Vicky murmured solemnly, touching the gash on her face. "What if I really end up scarred and deformed? Would you still love me?" "Don't be silly. Would you still love me if I ended up with a face full of scars too?" Frank shook his head, smiling as he understood Vicky's concerns.

Even if she maintained her cheerful self, was there a woman who did not care about her looks?

"Yes," Vicky answered without hesitation.

"Well that's just it." Frank shrugged. "Don't worry-I promise you won't have any scars left on your face. Even if you do, you'd still be gorgeous in my eyes!"

"Urgh, easy for you to say." Vicky pouted, but Frank could hear from her tone that she was calming down.

Soon, however, she winked at him and asked him a potentially lethal question, "By the way, who's more beautiful-me or Helen?"

"Oh, uh..." Frank scratched his head awkwardly.

How should he even respond to this?

It would sound insincere if he said Vicky, and Helen was going to get upset if she found out.

On the other hand, he could not tell Vicky in the face that Helen was more beautiful either.

It was certainly a question that left Frank stumped. But truth be told, both Helen and Vicky had different things going for them, and they were both marvelous beauties with no clear winner between them. On the other hand, Vicky was giggling as she saw that Frank was stumped.

She always liked to see Frank being left speechless, just as he had been at the farm resort. For some reason, bullying him always gave her a sense of accomplishment.

"Frank Lawrence! Who allowed you in Ms. Turnbull's room?! Get out!" someone bellowed outside, and the servants screamed as the door was kicked wide open.
