"It's just 30 million! I'll bid!" The chubby merchant scoffed and was about to raise the price to bid

against Leon when his companion pulled at his arm.

"Steve, forget it. Don't bid against him!" The companion shook his head.

"Why not?" Steve was taken aback.

"Why don't you take a look at who’s standing next to him? That's the eldest daughter of the Morrisons!

You better give up if you don't want to cross the Morrisons!" The companion lowered his voice, clearly

having recognized Renee.

"Oh!" Steve turned and immediately spotted Renee. Feeling a chill down his spine, he finally

understood why his companion stopped him.

The Morrisons were the head of all families in the western region and as the eldest daughter of such a

family, Renee's status was much higher than him.

Leon and Renee seemed close and Steve instantly concluded that Leon was likely someone with

similar status as Renee. A mere merchant like he could not afford to cross them.

This green jadeite was rare and could be sold for over 43 million if it was carved into someone.

However, Leon had already raised the price to 30 million and if the merchants bid against him, he

would only profit a little after deducting the time and production costs.

There was no point in crossing Leon and Renee over a small profit as it would not benefit him much.
