Linny's grandmother, using a cane for support, stepped out of the car with Steven's help.

"They are the plaintiff's attorney and family."

A sharp-eyed journalist recognized Linny's grandmother from the funeral, where Shannon was dumped from head to toe in food. The incident had been the talk of the town.

"The plaintiff's attorney looks familiar. Oh, my god! Isn't he Ms. Thompson's secretary?" The journalist pointed at Steven in shock.

"Oh, he is! He's a lawyer too?! Ms. Thompson sure hires the most capable people!"

The press surrounded Steven. His presence alone took away the attention from Hunter.

That made Hunter's blood boil.

Hunter's attempts to spy on his opponent through his extensive connections did not get him anywhere.

So the person who took over turned out to be Steven.

"M-Mr. Lovett, what do we do now?" Hunter's assistant, unaware of their relationship, was taken aback.

"Hmph! They are just fighting a hopeless battle."

Hunter gritted his teeth. "So what if he was the top student at Savrow Law School and could practice law? He's been a lapdog for the Thompsons for many years and has never put his bar certification into practice. He's no competition."

Bella likely put Steven up on the same playing field as Hunter just to make him sick.

Hunter planned to teach the dumb woman and Steven a lesson in court.

Just before Hunter walked away, Steven stopped him.

"Brother!"

Steven entrusted Linny's grandmother to a bodyguard before he approached Hunter solemnly.

Everybody was surprised. "Brother?"

It turned out that Hunter and Steven were brothers.

It was a face-off between brothers in court. One was fighting for the victim, while the other was defending a tycoon. It was pure drama.

Hunter watched with gnashed teeth as the eyesore drew close.

Steven's form of address was the ultimate insult to Hunter.

"I might be your brother, but in the eyes of the law, all is equal. I don't plan to go easy on you because I know you. I won't show mercy, even to my family." Steven narrowed his eyes and carried himself with composure. "As Ms. Linny's attorney, I will do my best to make Shannon pay for contracting a killer." Overwhelmed with emotions, Linny's grandmother covered her face and cried at the mention of Linny's name.

The journalists were even more annoyed with Hunter.

"Contracting a killer? How can you say that?"
