EMILY KING POV

A feminine, full of authority voice boomed through the room. Our head turns to the person who entered the cell prison door. Queen Maddie.

“You kidnap Emily!!” The King stated.

“No, I didn’t, because I saved her from falling off the cliff. She doesn’t remember anything, and she’s my fiancee now. Who are you to her anyway?”

I frowned, not liking that Joel just lied to King Blake about me being his fiancee. What’s his motive?

“She’s my sister, Joel! So, stop pretending!”

“She is your sister. But why can’t she recognize you?”

Blake and Maddie were taken aback by his words. They turn to me as I look at them with confusion written in my face.

Am I King Blake’s sister?

My gaze fell on the floor, remembering how he choked and slapped me just now. If he is my brother, he should think first before doing something that he might regret later.

“Emily, is that true?” King Blake asked. His tone is wavering.

I nodded with wariness. King Blake stepped forward and tried to hug me. But, I step back and hide behind Joel’s. His eyes flashed with hurt as he halted. But, I’m not gonna believe it so quickly. There’s no proof that I am his sister.

“I would like you to grant me permission to bring Emily to my kingdom until she remembers her family,”

“Fine,” He hesitated before agreeing.

“Follow me,”

The King and Queen walk towards the prison door, and I followed behind them with Joel behind me. I walk out first and wait outside the dungeon to wait for Joel. Instead, the dungeon door was close harshly in front of my eyes with Joel still inside it.

“No!!”

I grab the dungeon door and try to open it only to be held by two giant soldiers on both of my hand. I snarled angrily at the King and Queen. A piercing scream made me shiver in fear. Only to realize that it came out from my mouth.

Something burned inside my heart, and it pleaded to be let go. Both of the soldiers cried out in agonizing pain as they both hit the wall, hard. A crack of bone echoed across the hallway. I walk towards the King and Queen with rage in my eyes.

“Let me out! I can handle her!” Joel shouted to no one in particular.

I smirked seeing blood all over the place. Something had taken over my body, the dark part of me, and I can’t stop it.

I put up my hands in front of me to form a fireball.

“Blake, she’s not in her right mind! What do we do?” The Queen began to panic.

“Just let me out! I know how to stop her!” Joel screams once more.

The thing is he was too late. The damage has been done.

The Queen turns to the other soldier behind them and asks them to open the dungeon door. Joel barge to me as soon as the door was unlocked and at the same time, I throw the ball towards them. I stare wide-eyed at the sight before me.

‘Stop it! Let me come back to myself!’ I shout helplessly to my other side.

‘No way!’ She laughed mockingly.

Her laugh stopped when my body stumbles backwards. All of a sudden, my chest throbbed in pain. I fell to the floor, clutching my chest tightly. It feels as if being burned from the inside. A shot of electric makes me curl on the floor. My nails clawed on the floor at the intensity of the pain. I screamed in pain, making the place tremble as my power lashed out within my scream.

“Emily!! Emily!!”

A voice boomed through my ear. I open my eyes and look at the person in front of me. Bad moves. It sent Joel flying backwards and onto the wall. I immediately close my eyes and lower my head still struggling to fight the pain and to control my power.

“Emily...” Joel stepped towards me once more.

“Stay away from me!!” I snapped at him.

His footsteps stop as I sat up and put my head on my hands.

“I’m sorry,”

“Why are you apologizing?” I chuckled bitterly.

“I can’t heal you. I can only take the pain for a short while before it came back,” He lowers his voice in shame.

“It’s fine. Why did you do it anyway?” I forced a laugh only to cough out blood.

“Emily, Are you okay?” King Blake finally speak up.

I watch the blood on my trembling hands. Upon hearing footsteps nearing me, I turn my head towards him and snapped angrily.

“I said, leave me alone!!”

I throw a fireball towards him. But, before it reached him, a sword appeared.

Slashing the balls of fire away from the King.

I was shaken by the appearance of piercing blue eyes staring towards me. Trent smirks as my mouth popped open. He raises his sword and blood splatter all around the room. My body goes numb as my eyes rolled back to my skull as darkness consumed me.
