Morning brought with it a fresh new feeling for all. While Uriah had spent the evening with Kimberly talking and with her help working through some of his confusion and angst the rest had spent time with Urian in reality doing a bit of their own healing by talking and listening to him as well as each other. The future more secure and the rhythm of life once again had a familiar beat.

So it was that Synergy, Elizabeth and Kimberly stood in the hotel lobby saying their good byes to Urian and Henry.

Elizabeth hugged her Grandfather. “Love you Dar.”

Urian smiled at her squeezing her cheek. “Don’t be a stranger. It has been too long since we had Sunday lunch together.” He looked to Simian and Casta then Derek and Uriah. “Open invitation to you lads as well.”

Uriah smiled at Derek’s question knowing what the answer was going to be.

“You’ll have to give us your address Urian.”

“Same as it always was Derek my lad. Same as it always was.”

Derek stepped forward and pulled his phone out of his pocket. He pulled up the photo file and handed the phone to Henry. “I think you should have this Henry. Thought you might like to see a piece of your history.”

Henry looked from the picture of a young boy smiling back at him to Derek with a questioning look.

Derek smiled. “That’s young Geoffrey.”

Urian shook each man’s hand and Henry escorted him to the waiting car.

The little clan stared after them for a few moments their trance only broken by Simian’s question to Elizabeth. “Cherie are you all right?”

To answer his question she took hold of Derek’s hands and kissed him. “I am Simian, I am.”

Casta directed his question to Uriah. “And you my friend? Are you healing?”

As he spoke Uriah took hold of Kimberly’s hand. “I am.”

They all walked to the exit, their futures set out before them a fresh mystery.
