As they departed, Adrian paused, glanced back at Lysander, and offered a slight smile before following the dean out.
Lynn stood there for a moment while watching Adrian and the dean leave before hurrying back to close the door.
“Dr. Thorne! Did you see that? He’s so handsome!”

Lynn opened it. “Who?… Oh, it’s Dr. Sutton. Weren’t you supposed to be at the pharmacy with the dean? Why are you back?”
Adrian smiled. “You must be Lynn?”
“Yes. Yes. I am Lynn Bale. Dr. Sutton, you know me!!!”
“I recognize you. You’re Dr. Thorne’s assistant. You’ve been with Dr. Thorne since you were assigned to the Central Hospital after graduating.”

Adrian held out a small gift bag. “I forgot to give you this earlier.”
Lynn eyed the elegant gift box. “Oh my, this brand of cookies isn’t available in the country!”
“Yes. I had a friend send it from overseas especially for you.”
She accepted the cookies happily. “Dr. Sutton, how did you know I like this brand of cookies? I’ve been out of stock for so long. I used to have to find a purchasing agent to buy them and they are so expensive.”
Adrian simply smiled and glanced at Lysander before saying, “Let me know when you finish eating. I’ll have my friend send some more.”
