Chapter 337 Worried You Might Fall Ill
It seemed as though Adrian understood her intentions. “You’ve figured it out?” he asked softly.
She nodded.
“Technically speaking, this house isn’t really mine. The owners are an elderly couple from around here. who emigrated to Archulea. I’ve just been leasing it long-term.”
Lysander typed: I can pay the rent.
After some thought, Adrian didn’t reject the idea. “Let’s discuss this once your work is all sorted out.
There’s no need to rush.”
She had left in haste and indeed, she didn’t have much money on her..
She would have to wait until next month’s paycheck before she had any disposable income in hand.
Lysander typed: I’ll pay up later.
Adrian nodded. “All right. It’s getting late, so you should rest soon. I’ll take my leave now.”
As Adrian turned around, only then did Lysander see a small suitcase placed beside him.
Given the size of this suitcase, it could hardly hold much. Even a slightly thicker piece of clothing
wouldn’t fit.
The temperature in Stounia was around ten degrees at the time. Even though he was wearing a trench coat, it was completely soaked and clinging to his body.
Lysander typed: Did you bring a change of clothes?
Adrian paused in his steps, glancing at his pitifully small suitcase, and said with a chuckle, “I didn’t ha time to pack, so I only brought a few personal items with me.”
Lysander typed: Did you leave any of your clothes here before?
Adrian’s gaze suddenly flickered, as he intensely watched her.
Lysander was quite considerate. She opted to stay in the guest room after tidying it up, never once venturing into the master bedroom.
If Adrian had lived here before, then it was possible that he had some clothes here.
“Yes, it’s in the wardrobe of the master bedroom.”
Lysander typed: Have you eaten yet?
“I had a little something to eat on the plane.”

Lysander gritted her teeth and typed: Go take a hot shower and change out of your wet clothes.
A flicker of something unusual suddenly passed through Adrian’s aze.
There was a sense of surprise, but more so, there was confusion.
Lysander quickly clarified by typing: I’m just worried that you might fall ill.
Adrian let out a slight chuckle, but his smile carried a hint of melancholy as he said, “I understand.”
Feeling a little uneasy, Lysander typed: Your health is what matters most.
Adrian nodded. “Right. Thanks for your concern.”
Lysander typed: Go take a shower and get changed. I’ll whip up some food.
Adrian looked up and asked, “You can cook?”
Lysander typed: I can’t promise it’ll be delicious, but it should at least fill your stomach.
Seeing as Adrian went silent, Lysander typed: It’s really late and it’s pouring rain. I feel bad for making you go out of your way to come here. Let me cook you a meal as a token of my gratitude.
After staring at her for a moment, Adrian finally nodded. “All right.”
The kitchen, which was situated next to the living room on the first floor, was of an open concept.
Lysander went to the refrigerator and took out some eggs and pasta that she had just bought today. She then started to heat up a pot of water.
Adrian went to the master bedroom, and shortly after the sound of running water could be heard fr within.
As it turned out, there was a bathroom in the master bedroom.
Just a moment ago, she was pondering whether she should back away if Adrian emerged from the bathroom.
With a bathroom inside the master bedroom, he would be able to change his clothes in the room before coming out.
Naturally, this would be a lot better as the awkwardness between the two of them would lessen significantly.
By the time the tomato pasta was ready, Adrian had also changed his clothes and came downstairs.
Perhaps due to being at home, he was simply dressed in a white turtleneck sweater and a pair of black sweatpants. This attire gave him less of an elite aura, instead, it added a touch of domestic softness to his appearance.
“What have you been cooking? It smells wonderful.”
